Carl, What number coach is it? Why is it not posted on the Yahoo Ultravan group Site? What is the price for what you are selling? (Didn't you do the same to me - why is it different for you?)

Is there anyone in the Duluth area that is interested in owning an Ultra Van cheap? There is a fixer in Duluth that deserves to be saved and I'm having a hard time getting to it. I live in Washington and it is a matter of time and distance for me. If you would like to own an Ultra Van and aren't afraid of some work this project might be for you. PM me or email me at carlofsumner@gmail.com and I c

FYI - IF an asking price was given at time when Owen spoke with the owner about posting the ad - on the Ultravan site - Owen would have posted it. Otherwise the owner / seller did not provide Owen that information at the time.

WoW ! ! ! ::o What a MESS ! I can not believe that somebody would try to sell that without trying to get the garbage out of it first! Are those RAT turds scattered on top of the counters?

Unless a PO swapped out the power-plant; all Ultravans till (I think) number 510 were Corvair. At least 320 of the 376 were Corvair form the factory. So 393 = Corvair (Unless it was converted)

Thanks for that chart , most of what I've seen before tops out at 25'. The wires in an UltraVan are much longer than 30'. When I replaced the taillight wires I measured 37' from the turn signal switch to the right taillight. Fuse to the brake switch to the turn signal switch is probably another 15', not to mention ~30' from the battery to the fuse. Owen

Although it seems to need everything, it does look like a good foundation from the outside. If it doesn't need the wall paneling replaced, the cabinets and such could be build to suit. Curving and splicing paneling would be challenging, hard to tell if it needs it. I don't care for the stock seats and would replace them if they were still there anyway. Even with rear exiting exhaust there'

I’ve been running a Viton crank seal in our UltraVan for over ten years now with plenty of heat due to the load with no leaking if that means anything. Granted, I’ve only put 10,000 miles on it in that time. I heard rumored that Viton isn’t really intended for a rotation sealing surface but I’ve not had a problem. Time will tell.

Good times at the Toss today. Just got home. Put over 200 miles on my Greenbrier and she didn’t miss a beat. Got 18mpg! Lots of really nice cars and FCs to look at. My son loved the ultra vans. Tons of parts! Met a few site members. Got a good oil pan from cFred and a distributor from Seth Emerson. Swapped a few stories with corventureDave. Pleasure to meet all of you. Looking forward to the ne

Bob & Diane Galli put 120,000 miles on UltraVan #504 at 5,800 lbs. They traveled all over the USA, sometimes on only 5 cyls (intake valve failure on the way to a rally). Bob custom built a 110 engine with squish heads and a 95hp cam with 4deg offset crank gear. Basically the engine I was trying to copy with my build for #500. Not sure what axle he used though.

Remember that some fully loaded Ultra Vans tip the swcale at 3800-4000lbs and maybe more. Have to see if either Owen or Danny is reading this thread.
