One thing I do recall, the seal was right on the edge of the crank, so I used one of those Clark's spacers to move it back a tad. Assumed I was doing a good thing....

Right now I'm using simple green aviation parts cleaner. Safe for aluminum, works great . has to be the aviation stuff though, mix 1 part cleaner to 3 parts water.

In one drive I went from a Corvair that didn't leak at all to what looks like a total failure of the rear main seal..... Can't remember if I used viton or regular. Glad our driving season is near over. Springtime job.....

I have both as well. The turbo is a big hit at car shows, and you can't beat that emblem and big chrome tailpipe. Most of my issues have been carb related, the YH is finicky. Recently upgraded to a 45mm Mikuni carb, early results are good. You also have to be aware that typically today's gas alone will not keep you out of detonation zone, so plan on adding some sort of water/meth in

There's a 215 Olds aluminum V8 code SG motor (4barrel)for sale on eBay right now. $440 pick up in Tucson. The olds 215 is the one to have. Small, engine weighs almost the same as the Vair.

Car has AB diff code stamp which reads as 3:55 open. However, when I spin the drivers side wheel the pass side rotates same direction, thought this meant posi.. Turning the pass rear wheel the drivers side does nothing....
