Is it a center pivot or side pivot bowls on that Holley 4bbl? Are you parking the car on a slant or side tilt by chance? Do the bowls on the newer holleys still have the "sight Plugs" on the side of the bowl to check float level? On the ones with the "sight plugs" you unscrew the plug and look for just a trickle of fuel, just barely anything. If it's rolling o

Since you bought the Trans from Clark's, I's suggest you first all them and see what the technical help that can give or if a warranty exchange is in order. I would not advise opening the trans as it may void warranty. I'm highly doubtful that they would send a trans with a stripped shaft or tabbed washer/pump drive. I don that the if you are not careful when installing the TC

Question: When checking the fluid level was it done with engine running? Question 2: When you check fluid level BEFORE starting the engine is the fluid level high on the stick? Then when you check with engine running, dose it drop down to the full mark?

Had a problem car come into the shop one time with simialar symptoms. Owner had changed out the Modulator Valve. So we started there. Removed the Modulator valve and found that the piston that the valve actuates in the trans was missing. Pulled one from a used trans. Issue resolved. In that case the motor could rev up to redline and car would barely move along, maybe 5 mph I disagree wi

and for the record.... There are EM and LM pressure plate rings as there are EM and Late Pressure Plate covers and diaphragms. You can not mix and match. Else you will have a clutch that will not release or not engage.

The fact that is has the wide lobes tells you that its an EM. Not a specific grind mind you, just that it is an EM. The 304 is a LM came (164 CI motor) so that it would have to be the narrow lobe.

When I had the Trans in my R/S Rebuilt, I had the trnsmisson rebuilder (Dan Dromerhousen) install and NOS shift shaft I was able to locate. Once installed I added the Shift Coupler boot that the factory would have installed. So leaks and the shift shaft is protected from the elements (mostly) by the boot. Will change out the the boot once it gets weathered.

If you are using the horn ring- The pluger goes in the steering wheel Then the bevel spring with tabs facing up Then the thick plastic spacer then the horn ring then the correct depth ringed spacer. it has to hold the ring tense against the bevel spring, but not crush the spring flat. Those other steel cups are for use on the stock FC wheel or wheels without horn rings and are used

"I checked to see if that was the case and when I pushed down on the push rod and it seemed like it was seated in the lifter cause it moved." It will move it will still move it is sitting on the edge of the plunger, it just would not be seated in the dimple. Once they have pressure on them they don't seem to slide around. I's back that rocker out and re-seat the push rod

Used to take all the cars that we did at the shop to Gardnea Bear Aligment on Crenshaw in Gardena. Stan was the man! But that was over ten years ago. He knew and understood the corvairs as did his daughter. Never had an issue and was prices fair (compared to all the other shops that equated four wheel alignment with Porsche owners) Address: 13120 Crenshaw Blvd, Gardena, CA 90249 Hours:

Wont the RH rocker panel work on the LH side? Looks symmetrical to me? What about taking a RH "B" pillar and modding to fit the LH? I only ask, because i'd think it would be easier to locate a parted out 6 door.

I have not installed in a new windshield in a few years. The price of $225 is about what I selling retail for back in about 2007. The butyl ribbons used to come with a set of setting blocks. Not sure if that is still true. But you can buy setting blocks in the size you need/want where you buy the buytl ribbon (I used to by at auto paint stores). Just need to center the glass such that it

Creating another "one of none" option. This one for my 62 Monza Wagon. There were no AM/FM radios available for 62 Corvairs. So im making one from three different radios that will fit and look like something CHEVY might have made. Im more than likely remove the black paint of the selector slider to make it look more period correct and match the mostly chrome dash of the 62 Vair.
