I currently have a 24x24 and a 24x48 - both are significantly too small. If / when I do it again. Minimum 40x80, 12' ceiling, with a 2nd story / loft above (load bearing floor). In floor heat, and a toilet / wash sink also a must. A vehicle lift is also a must. Eric P. DeWitt, IA

This car is NOT a mid-western car. It came to me from Washington state - reportedly an eastern Washington (dry) car. It has a clear title, in my name. Correct rivets in the VIN, etc. Eric

Why am I selling? 1. Looking to start the Restoration of my Corvair-powered Manx dune buggy 2. Would like to put some more money into my 66 Convertible, that was painted earlier this year (needs a top, trim, etc) 3. Could use 1 extra garage space, so I can park my daily driver inside :)

A Manx CV, or CC WILL fit on a VW pan, just not perfectly. There are many Manx CC (Corvair Rear Suspension, Corvair Front Suspension) and CV (Corvair Rear, VW Front) out there, on pans. Eric P. DeWItt, IA

There are multiple 'Queen Manx' buggy bodies made, after the movie. There is one in Minneapolis being built now (I think Jim Brandberg is working on it, or was) There is one (authenticated by Bruce Meyers) in Washington that has never been put together. Eric P. To be fair - my video above is actually the Corvair Track Classic, in Hastings, NE, from 2017. Its a little higher speed AutoX than at conventions, typically. Here is my 2013 Convention Autocross Video (still looking for my 2017 video). 2013 Convention Autocross

Jim - Awesome news! My kids (6 and 9) both love the VC race, and can't wait to do it again. Keeping FAMILY events at the Convention is a way to keep Corvairs alive. Eric P. DeWitt, IA

Steve - Great Spotlight. I have participated MANY times. My #1 gripe for the VC race, ok, maybe 2... 1: Its always 'late' at night, and is a kid friendly event (my 9 year old has competed, and 6 year old will this year. It, and the Model Car Concours are probably the one 2 convention events that kids can actively participate. I'm hoping coinciding with the Banquet Cocktail hour th

I'll try and find the pic Jim is referring to- have a few. One has 1800lbs of block in the bed though....so it may be a bit extreme. I have absolutely zero complaints about my (Jims old) truck. It rides so smooth, not bounce, and sits nice. From what I can tell, cut stock springs, 1 coil. Eric P DeWitt, IA

The parts belong to Marv Hoppenworth, of the Iowa Corvair Enthusiasts. I have seen most of the parts - I bought a car from him, and a couple loads of parts a couple summers ago. He really only kept good stuff - not rusty junk (except the car). The person selling the parts was hired by the Power of Attorney - Marv has moved into a nursing home, and is not in the best of health. I do be

Based on what I can find - STOCK - they were 29.5 to the top of the front wheel opening. Are you running a taller tire? I can measure mine tonight - but I am fairly certin it's no where close to 30" - but cut 1 coil all around on stock springs. Eric P. DeWitt, IA

One that I will always remember - around the Midwest regional and National Conventions - the 'Shark' Van - the grey greenbrier with custom front end work to look like a shark. As a little kid - I thought it was pretty cool. Also - my other convention favorite - Warren LeVeque's Red w/ Black stripe Yenko Stinger Eric P. DeWitt, IA
