Thanks Lyn Forum: Corvair Center Forum 4 months ago 58binz My nightmares are not that ugly! Some things will never be cool even if they are rare. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago 58binz Thanks Dave. I took the front one off when I put a new rubber seal in the front window. Do you know any one who drilled out the spot welds? I am trying to find them all before I start drilling. Lyn Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago 58binz Steve, thanks for responding. I would like to remove them because there is surface rust that should be taken care of. Did you document your restoration? If so is there a way I could see and study it.I am new to Corvairs but really appreciate them as I was a VW nut for 45 plus years. Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago 58binz Steve, I have a 61 8 door panel that I want to thoroughly restore. I just found your articles on here and realized you had sent me or someone in the club had sent me your article on the fresh air flap renovation. Can you tell me if the sheet metal around the roof on the inside comes off? If I unbolt every nut and bolt will it come off or do I also need to drill out spot welds. I have had the van Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago 58binz I am interested. Could make a weekend run to get it as I live in Oregon. Let me know what you want for it. Lyn Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago 58binz Welcome! I am one of the 3 in the Coos Bay area. I too am from Southern California ( Long Beach) who escaped from there 10 years ago. Matt and Ed are 2 of the most knowledgeable and friendly guys around. The 4 of us ought to go for coffee. Lyn Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago 58binz Does anyone know how to take apart the Fresh air vent door by your feet on a FC to replace the seal? I have looked everywhere I can think of even asking the Techs at Clarks when I bought the seals. I have looked at Corvantics to no avail. If the cars have them they may be similar. The sheet metal is very thin and I dont want to ruin them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Forum: Corvair Center Forum Current Page: 1 of 1 |
