I just bought a '66 Monza for its drive train, but I was thinking about having a You Pull It Party for everything else. The front is smashed, so I'm not sure it's any good to anyone as a complete car, but there will be the interior, dash, windows, etc.

Cool! Okay, I just took a look at the ultimate and this, and they appear to be the same.

Oh no, I think they have it. I was just trying to figure out if that would give me the sound I wanted.

So would cherry bombs give me the same sound?

So I did a quick search, but I must have missed this, so...question: I want to create the sound of a Stinger exhaust. If I get the Ultimate headers from Clark's, will that accomplish it? Or is it possible to simply build replica headers from Yenko blueprints? Are there Yenko blueprints for their headers? I think that would be more fun, actually. Gracias, in advance!

Oh, there have been a billion skits where the inference of the curse words are used to great effect. But I find it ridiculous that people are somehow offended by swearing. The best thing about the English language is the ability to use every element to create whatever voice you'd like, from the vulgar to the beautiful, sometimes all at the same time. Literature is literally filled with vulgaritie

Oh Mel, One thing you should understand is that I'm an award winning, and best selling, writer. Been one for over 20 years, and as a result, I can assure you that nothing I write is ignorant. It may not match what you like to read, but it will always be some of the best writing you will read (despite what your English teacher may have told you). Jalopnik, like every publication, has a sp

Well...I live in California, and I'm fine with taxes. Taxes help pay for some of the best roads in this world. Taxes help pay for vital social services for our residents. Taxes in California actually go BACK to the federal government and subsidize all of those poorer red states that need money. Taxes helped educate me at Berkeley and UCLA. And I'm not a person who blames 'Illegals' mainly because

Don't worry. I'm going to join the South Coast Corsas and do something with them at the end of the series.

Hey everyone, I'm writing a series for Jalopnik that chronicles the resto of my '66 Corsa. It won't be just a bunch of wrenching, but goes into why we love our cars. All cars have stories, real or imagined, and my series will create a story surrounding my '66. It'll begin in February, so I hope you'll follow along.

I did a search for a database of Corvair junk yards, but I didn't see anything. I was wondering if there'd ever been a dedicated thread. What sparked this was watching unsafe's video of Corvair junk yards on YouTube. Excuse me if I missed a previous thread that did this, but I thought it would be a good idea.

First of all, make sure that you take care of your health. That's the most important thing. Secondly, I'll make sure to make a purchase to support.

Decoding the body tag of the Corvair. Why was I destined to buy it? It was produced during the three week of February '66. When was I born? February 20, 1966. It's just been waiting for me to pick it up for 51 years.

Sorry about the pic size, and thanks for the welcome! I'd gotten in contact with Ray Sedman about building a 140 engine out to around 250hp. It has a four speed manual. But I'm open to seeing my options.

Pretty much!!! I kept looking at it over and over...trying to figure out why it was so low with no body issues. And so I just made an offer, unseen. I had a guy go pick it up and he said that he thought it was basically a Dad who wanted the kid's car gone. I was more than happy to oblige.

Hey all, About 25 years after I had a '65 Monza convertible, I decided to buy a project '66 Corsa (blue car). I'm looking to create a nice weekend auto cross (maybe track car if I can convince my wife) car (the red is my inspiration), and I wanted to work with a shop that can do everything from quality body work to the mechanical over the next six to nine months or so. Not trying to make it i
