I'm looking for a set of soup can type air filters or something close that will direct clamp to my Rochester's on my Monza 140. Does anybody know where to find these at a reasonable price? Without being the overly expensive k&n.

5. Tires.
I need to put new tires on my project car. The ones that are on there now or pretty much shot and I want to keep them nicely aired up to roll back and forth in and out of my garage while I work on it. Right now I have 8 by 15 American Racing wheels on front and rear. The rears are 205/65/15 and the front are 205/60/15. Any suggestions on a size that I could use all the way around the car for aut

Hi guys, just want to say thank you for all the information I have received on the site. I know it can be frustrating with new Corvair adventurist. I tend to jump the gun on my projects and have done so on this one. I appreciate all the input on where I should really be concentrating. I feel like I am not getting back to folks on a timely manner and tend to do this better in the future. I p

I've been looking for something like this. It seems my 66 monza had one due to some paint wear. Anyone know where I can find something like this? Thank you. Steve

Understood,. But please understand I'm not trying to be cheap. There is just a lot of different drums and somebody's out there. I'm not going to shoot the Moon and buy the most expensive racing equipment at once when this is a first time project car for me. So the finned drums and metallic shoes the norm I will look into those. I did think about doing the master cylinder conversion as well. I und

Getting into the brakes on my 66 monza 140 across car. The pedal won't move so I'm guessing issues at the wheels. The drums are pretty rusty so I will be changing them out. Does anyone have an idea on aftermarket drums like Pronto exc? I cannot go overboard with cost. I will be replacing the drums and piston assemblies on all. Thanks!

I'm thinking about switching out the wheels that are on my car for some steel racing wheels. I've been looking at the Bassett and arrow brands. I have eights all around right now and was wondering if anybody had suggestions for the Bassett or Aero wheels and size for my ,66 monza. This will be a light driver around town but mostly made for autocross. I'm thinking about rolling the fenders to acc

Hey guys, I talked to a fellow member about this issue but am still trying to figure out how to adjust it. I cannot seem to find the answers online. If you'll notice that one of the photos the passenger side tire is way out to the wheel well. The other Tire on the driver side is in about 2 inches. The tires are roughly the same and the wheels are 8-inch by 15. With a straight edge I measured to

I guess it could be the Springs, I'm not sure how to check those. I forgot to note that the rear passenger tire seems to have a slight camber to it. The top of the wheel angles out farther than the bottom of the wheel if that makes sense. The whole car seems to list about 3/4 inch over on the driver side. Shocks are pretty squishy but I don't know if that's the problem solver or it could be Sprin

That is correct, my car looks funny. When it's sitting in my garage on a level floor the driver side of the car front and rear sits about an inch lower then the passenger side. Of course this is my first Corvair and I'm really not sure why it would be doing so. Any suggestions? Thank you guys

I was looking at those wheels on summit. Those are the wheels I was looking for. They don't seem to be that expensive, the only issue is is that minor 15" + 5 lug. They don't seem to make a smaller diameter in a 5 lug as far as I can tell
