Thanks for the replies, 11/32-24, not metric, I got it. I guess the crank with 3/8-18 was done by somebody before I got the engine. Thanks again, Ed

Hi, I drove yesterday to a show, 75 plus miles round trip on the freeway at 65 MPH, at one point turned 4,000 RPM going up a hill, no vibration at all. The engine made noise when I left and when I got home, can't hear it while I'm driving. I've driven it almost 500 miles now and no vibration, I had a small block Chevy that broke a crank, it still ran but shook like crazy. I will let

Thanks for the input guys, While running the engine yesterday I noticed the higher the rpm the quitter the noise and then noise will go away until you hit the throttle again. When there is no noise the fan belt is smooth, when the nose starts the fan belt starts vibrating. I checked the crank end play on a old Corvair short block and it was .0025 -.003, I think the crank end play in mine is

Hi, The engine in my FC has a strange banging noise while idling, the noise has been there since I've owned it for the past year. I've driven it about 400 miles and no change and it runs fine. Hi Guys Matt took the pictures of the Rampside, I live down the street from him in here in Coos Bay, Thanks Matt. I thought the Rampside sat to high, so I lowered it 4" in the front and 2" in the back. I lowered the front with tri-five 2" dropped spindles and cut coil springs, the rear was cut coil springs and it sits on smaller tires. I now have front disc brakes, a dual master cylinder

Hi, The PO of my Rampside used some gate hinges on the side door, I want to use a piano hinge like it came with. I know the stock piano hinge has a joggle in the part that attaches to the bed floor. I was hopping someone with a Rampside could tell me the dimensions of the hinge leafs, the thickness of the hinge and the joggle dimensions. Thanks, Ed
