I'll definitely be there. New truck. New trailer. Face mask. Great crew. And we've done a little bit more to the car to reduce parasitic drivetrain loss. With any luck and some good salt, we'll get the record for F/CPRO back!

I'm pasting a copy of my recap on our misadventure at Bonneville. We'll be back next year...faster! Update on our attempts at a World Speed Record: The absolute worst case scenario developed today. We arrived early and made it into the top 80 vehicles that would run today. Course conditions were miserable, and we could tell they weren’t improving. Listening to the chatter on the Eve

We’re Chomping at the bit here...so close yet so far away it seems! We’re making the best of it, but I came to race. Mother Nature isn’t cooperating! Thanks to all for the well wishes, and for those others that are posting information/updates on this project! I’m a little distracted right now to do it myself. Thanks to ALL, Greg

MattNall's answer is the best advice. I do have a facebook blog "Bonneville or BUST" that details with pictures the entire build. Specific details as to actual engine build can be provided by Michael LeVeque of LeVair Performance. We are using a double close ratio Saginaw 4-speed transmission and a 3.27 diff. Engine is a 3.0L big bore, radical cam, Porsche headers, Holley 650 c

Good to hear from you on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to next year! My plans for our car should get us to the 150 mark, with any luck. Not bad for NA!

Obviously you have to perforate the headliner with the screws, but will I need to cut the fabric over the big hole? Certainly a lot easier to figure things out when you remove an old part and replace with new. But someone else put the headliner in. My Bonneville car has none of the above as a stripped down race car, so I can't even look at it for guidance.

I went back out to the car and can feel the "big hole" and the 3 smaller screw holes around it. Thanks.

But where? In the corner of the A-pillar and top of windshield frame? I would love a picture of how it should look.

I just bought a '65 Corsa a few weeks ago. Some work to restore the interior has been done by the previous owner, but there are no sunvisors! Brand new headliner, but I don't know how to resintall the visors. Obviously I can get all the parts, but I need to know where to install them as I don't want to poke unnecessary holes in the new headliner. Does anyone have any pictures

It is our belief having the exhaust tip exit the side creates a venturi effect, drawing the exhaust out of the pipes more efficiently and reducing back pressure. No hard data to prove it works. Right now just builds a bit of salt on the front of the exhaust tip!

I joined the Forum last September looking for info regarding finding a car and starting the build! Of course I doubt I ever made a post until today. So a LOT has happened in the past 11 months! Thanks for the Welcome!

We have a LOT planned for next year...now that we have a better idea of what the heck we're doing! And there's been a LOT of interest in the project and even more ideas offered to help us go even faster. There's an outside chance I'll be taking the car to Blytheville, AR for the Arkansas Mile late September, then we'll be tearing into the car to make it go faster next y
