Im looking at buying one and it needs to be shipped across the country. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago LeadFootLogan Sorry about that, never saw it posted on here. I just saw it on Craigslist Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago LeadFootLogan I know Corvair prices have risen but not that much unless I missed something Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Thanks, looks like I was given the wrong website lol Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I’ve tried searching his website Americanaircooled.com but nothing comes up or this website can’t be found. Any help? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Thank you all for the information. I’m building this motor to be a street/autocross car. My dad and I are planning on going the repair route due to the type of stress this motor will be under.(Planning on building a 200hp motor) Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan American Mel Wrote:

All of them look fine. There is a small indentation where the intake valve touched the piston, although it’s hard to see.
I never tried starting t Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Here’s both of my heads, my Vair wasn’t running when I got it. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Finally got around pulling the head off of my 140 and found this. Can this head be saved? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Never mind, I was informed that only one side is a posi. Although I most likely need both sides. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I actually need to of them, I already got a pm about one(maybe two). So I’ll ask again. Does anyone have 2 posi adjustment sleeves they’re willing to sell? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan My dad ordered the part and Clark’s called him and said they don’t have the parts. Does anyone have one they’re willing to sell? Clarks does not have the part in stock. From what I know they don’t make them anymore. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I have a part I need to find and purchase. Preferably a new or nos part. I believe it is called a posi-traction adjustment sleeve for a 65 4spd with a LSD 3.55 Part number 9
picasion.com Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I believe the offset on my wheels are +15 and they’re made out of aluminum. They weight approx 18lbs. They’re BBS RX-224, and as I’ve said before it’s a 15x7.5
Hoosier has a smaller tire diameter but I think I’ve ran into another problem. I’m not sure if those tires are DOT approved. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Thank you for the info.
I have a 3.55 limited slip with a 4speed. My motor will be built and I’m aiming for 200 wheel horsepower so I doubt I’ll have any trouble with moving the tires. I’m looking at a Hoosier tire (27.0/8.0r15) my wheels specs are 7.5x15 with an offset of 15. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I know this question will sound absurd or crazy to some, but will a 27in tall tire on a 15in wheel fit on a late model?
I’m going for a trans am racing look and I would like the tire to fill the gap between the wheel and fender(or come close to it) Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I’m willing to drive all over Texas. Does anyone have Mikes contact information? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Is there anyone in Texas that is experienced with assembling trans and diffs? I was going to send it out of state but the shipping is too much. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Also do keep in mind that I’m building my Vair for autocross and circuit use. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I’ve heard that you can do the Porsche conversion for 500 or so dollars. I’d rather put the 1k towards something else. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan I was wondering if anyone has done the air cooled 911 fan on their Vair on here. If so, what does it take to do the conversion? Is there a kit? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Does anyone know any shops in the DFW(Texas) area who has experience assembling differentials? I have a 3.55 LSD with the 4 spider conversion that needs to be assembled. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan They are. Summit sells them but without a picture. Although the part numbers match up. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan THIS is the carb adaptor. Been trying to get this picture for 20 minutes! Back to my original question, has anyone ever done this adaptor before? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Ah my bad I made a mistake. I’m talking about the Offenhauser big carb adapter plate. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago LeadFootLogan Has anyone ever done an Otto big carb adaptor for a 140 motor? Kind of thinking about doing it to my 140. Forum: Corvair Center Forum |
