That my friends is the 4 cylinder corvair that the guy at the auto parts store was adamant that his brother had......LOL :D 40 more hp.....uhhhh huh. Easier to maintain...maybe not. Definitely wouldn't sound as good as the turbo corsas!! :D

Ok. First of all. Even I know that you dont do that. And how does that even happen. He takes the oil cap off while running. Must have a bit of excessive blowby right? I guess mixing with water will make the milkshake froth...? What a waste of a good engine. I'm sorry for that corvair. It looked decent enough, if the engine paint is ang judge...

Has anyone ever done a compound turbo set up on a corvair? If not I plan to be the first...:D I will keep posted on when and how I do it. I got a small turbo that I plan on running before the stock one. Attached is an image of my "concept" Comments are duly noted and appreciated...:D

Ok, so I have a quick question, is there anyone who has a better carb than the YH. The YH is good and all but isnt really ideal for making any power. Hardly that is. What is the best way? Is there anyone who has a 150hp turbo for sale either for parts? Mainly the smaller turbine and housing.... Thanks

Yes, I have jus thg purchased all new CV joints. Going to replace that and now I am running it on e85 just for fun to see what willhappen, it seems to run a lot colder and if I richer the idle it runs a lot better. Anyone done this on turbo corvair? I dont think there is anything wrong with it other than it smells like absolute ass though.

Well the vw tranny ain't as tough as I thought. Well she making bad noises. Working on getting another daily driver, while I tear the tranny apart and see what is all wrong, I think its definitely a CV joint that is bad so far. We shall see, can't say I wasnt warned:D

Yup that's about right. My turbo is stock and stock carb and everything, just a new turbine shaft because I didnt know that it was left hand thread....dang.....anyway it all works now its just really annoying to put changes the gas and the turbo spools and clutch slips

So I got the Kennedy 200mm 2100 lb. Clutch and super disc, that should be heavy enough right? I would think so....I don't know how heavy the crown one is but it slips pretty bad once turbo spools Anyone used Kennedy clutches?

I also am looking on the cb performance website and found a kit but dont know which will require less modification, all will require some and I dont know whether it's easier to get the floor mounted one and ditch the stock pedal, or do what was done on that thread? Thanks

Thanks a lot Rod, that is a good thread on that, great work! Where did you get that kit from then, straight from CNC? Looks easy to modify. My clutch pedal does rotate from the bottom, and I was thinking of getting the Kennedy 111 clutch as well with the 4 puck disc, is this a good idea or is that overkill, and wont be able to drive it properly?

Well, it seems that there isn't a kit on CB performance. Although I am getting the clutch from there as it's cheaper that other websites Any other suggestions are welcomed as I want to make the car as good as possible Thanks Troy w

Ok the pressure plate, yes that was rust pitted but I didnt do anything to it, just cleaned it off and went, should be replaced it, I am glad for anyone advice here Thanks Troy w

The flywheel was in fine condition but the pressure plate should be been replaced, but thing is I need to pull the engine out and check it all out cuz I want to do a hydraulic clutch conversion as well. Anyone done those? And the cush your talking about, is that the cush lock discs?

Ok we have a bit of a problem, now I'm actually pulling boost when the turbo stops lagging it literally revs sky high and the mph doesn't go up as much as you would expect. So I am assuming slipping clutch, anyway since I have a 127 tooth lightened flywheel do I get a vw clutch or corvair clutch?? Thanks Troy w
