Correction - page 5D-9 in the 65-69 CORVAIR body service manual. Also on page 7-68 of the GM body service manual (covers all GM models). Procedure is the same in both manuals.

There is a GM procedure for this front door wedge plate adjustment. It is in the 65-69 Body Service Manual on page 5D-9. This is for convertibles only. Add shims to get a 1/32" interference.

Does anyone but me wonder why there are threads on this forum for Nike, Addidas, and Pandora products? What is this about?

HUGE problem? Any body want to guess how many miles all of the over 1.5 million single master cylinder Corvairs drove without any problems at all. I have driven Corvairs since the 70's and have never had a master cylinder problem. I think this is just hype.

Roger, See attached pic. These are the levers I have to choose from. The 67 and 68-69 are easy. But the rest....

Thank you Roger. If the shorter lever is for telescopic, what is the other bend angle for?

The various year knobs I am familiar with. It is the levers I need help with. As I said, long vs. short, and different angles. All of the ones I have that vary in length and angle are 65-66.

Does anyone know which lever is for what on 65-66? I have long ones, short ones, and different angled ones. What is correct for 1) standard steering wheel, 2) non-telescopic wood wheel, 3) telescopic wheel? Anyone have pictures of all and can sort them out?

What would one do in this scenario. You have a damaged LM and for repairs you have to change to front rail that contains the hidden VIN. If you replace it with a donor, now the car has 2 different VINs. What is the opinion on this?

Al, It is located in Manchester TN. That is an hour north of Chattanooga in I-24 if that helps. Maybe I can get a look at it again Monday and get pictures.

I stumbled on a '64 Greenbrier, 110 PG today at a junkyard. It has only been there a couple of weeks. It is not mine. I stopped to see if it was for sale and it is. I happen to know the junkyard land is being sold so it will not be a junkyard for long. It will probably be crushed soon. Probably get it for a couple hundred or less. It is very rough but complete with what looks like the orig

Rick, I know you are now looking for early trim tags but I have a '66 tag for you. You probably don't see many with the Power Rear Antenna body option. It is also a fairly early '66 conv. See attached. Hope this adds to your collection.

Scott, More info on the '66 power antenna. I was digging through my tags and found the trim tag from the '66 Monza conv that I junked umpteen years ago, but I saved the trim tag. Note that the car was maroon, white power top and the power rear antenna. See picture.

Anybody have a picture of the blue and silver GM sticker that goes on the door of a '68. I think it was only used in '68. I need to put mine back on but would like to see where it goes in relation to the latch. Maybe the location was not exact.

I would sure like to find a quick ball nut, otherwise my NOS worm is no good. PM with a price for one of you quick boxes and I will let you know. Anybody out there have a bad quick box that I could salvage the ball nut?

Last time I had this problem it was simply a bad condenser. I spent several days troubleshooting only because condensers "are never bad". We all replace them when we replace points, but they are always good. Once I listened to my father and changed the condenser, started right up. I won't do that again.

I am trying to convert a standard steering box to a quick steering box. I have an NOS quick worm gear. Are the worm nuts with the balls the same for quick or standard? I know the sector gears are all the same.
