I have a 64 Monza convert. Top down cover is on. Top up cover is tucked into the top well and sides folded over the main cover. Cover slides out easily to drivers side. If not, put a little candle wax on the rubber that goes inside the permanent holder.

I used SOLO2R'S blank plate in the existing fuel pump on my 64 Monza. Works perfectly, looks original and is very easy to install. No repiping

I am considering changing my drum brakes to disc brakes on the front of my 64 Monza convert. Does anyone have a blow by blow description for doing this, including parts and supply sources? Since I use this car as a driver, I feel that it would be safer to make this change. Vehicle is now very original with a single cylinder master cylinder, 13 inch tires and beautiful wire wheels.

JUST SAW THIS FILM. GOOD ESPECIALLY THE LAST 5 SECONDS WHEN MY TWIN CORVAIR (64 RED CONVERTIBLE) DROVE THRU THE LAST SCENE. THAT WAS GREAT! ANYBODY ELSE SEE THIS?

I also am in OH. Sales tax on purchase thru the new title purchase and you value the vehicle. Imagine a 64 Monza show vert worth $1000. This $70 one time for title. Then one gets antique vehicle plate (blue) for $40 and, as I did, change it to a year appropriate old plate (mine is a 1964 OH plate bought from some guy in Oregon for $10) and no further taxes or plate fees, ever. Hagerty insures

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL This project will be attacked as soon as I get back up to the frozen tundra (OHIO) from sunny south FLORIDA. May try to locate a replacement dash to practice on down here. Thoughts?

I have ordered the LEDs from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS. But come on, can't anyone offer assistance in removing the dash panel?

Thanks Frank for the tips. I do not have small hands so the dash must come out. Hints on removal and LED type and source? You know this car as you inspected it for me when purchased from Mr. Davis

I would like to replace the GE1816 instrument lights on my EM convert. How easy is it to remove the dash to do this? As the book says, just 11 screws? Best place to get LED's for this replacement. I know that this has been discussed before, but I can not seem to locate the links. Thanks

Again, where are you? I live in Naples in the winter and outside Medina OH in the summer. I have a 64 Monza Convertible. A few fellas show up with their cars at the local car shows here in the Naples area and in Marco Island in the Winter.

I changed to premium gas and all was fixed. Even the mid grade gas caused a little run-on. Use NGK BR7HS plugs set at .030 or AC R44F set to 0.030

I am the proud owner of a 64 Monza stick shift convert. It has P185/80R13 tires on it on true spoke wheels. According to an app on my phone, the speedo is reading about 10% low. So, speedo 60 is actually 54mph. Any way of correcting this short of new bigger tires?

Anyone know the secrets to getting LED turn signal bulbs to work on an EM? When I put LED replacements in for the 1157 tail lights only, all work. When I added another LED to the parking lights, everything stays lit but does not blink at all. Tried HD flasher unsuccessfully. A little help here, PLEASE

Thanks Frank. Will look for the COTTON PICKER stuff at TSC. Is that what you used when you rebuilt my car many years ago for Ray Davis?

The clutch bumper is replaced thanks to my friends on this forum, a lot of time and a little ingenuity.

A clutch bumper is a small rubber piece that stops the clutch pedal. If this is too worn, the pedal is not even with the brake pedal and causes the clutch cable to continually slide in the number one pulley as that pulley has stops in both the released and depressed position of the clutch pedal. Eventually, this will cut the pulley. Look in Clark's catalogue. The part is small and inexpen

I am about to install a new clutch cable and pulleys on my 64 Monza convert. Is it better to start at the pedal end or the engine end for ease of installation? I want to replace the cable before tragedy strikes. Thanks

What are we going to do now that the EPA is foolishly approving the new fuel with 15% ethanol? Supposedly the USA has more oil reserves than ever yet this crap is approved for addition to the gas. Corn is a food, not a fuel! What are the best additives to negate this crap in fuel for our cars? Appreciate any and all input

The yellow is caused by the chemical makeup of the adjacent black sidewall compounds. the easiest way to clean up is with an SOS pad. This also removes any curbing scuffs on the whitewall. Hurts nothing to scrub often. Was a tire guy before retirement. Still love wsw tires as I have them on my 64 Monza convert.

I replaced my mechanical fuel pump in the last few months. My 64 starts so much better and runs better that I can not say enough about this changeover. Dump the mechanical pump. I also used toe special casting on the middle of the existing pump so no repiping of gas lines on the engine. Great change!

Just wanted to thank all of you for your input. The O.E. switch works like a charm and LED bulbs are great in those backup fixtures.

Is the backup switch the drain plug for the tranny? The switch works but the wires are off. Plan to solder new wires on the switch. Can I do that with the switch in place or should I remove it?
