Sorry for the delay. No luck with old pumps, decided to go ahead and replace the pumps and now it is working. Thanks for all the replies!

I have an automatic '64 Monza with a '62-'63 98HP engine and '64 carbs. I discovered recently that one carb has a good stream from the accelerator pump but the other does not. Nothing looks worn and I could not detect any clog or restriction in the carb. I swapped the pumps between the carbs and the carbs performed the same, ruling out the pump. When bench testing the carb

I did adjust that, originally I got no spray until I got the bend right. Forgot about that.

Not sure how far it was out, he didn't measure it apparently. Yes, the rear drums do not have the groove depth for the backing plate.

After having the drum turned and replacing the shoes the brakes are now working properly. Thanks everybody for your help!

My inspection guy found a place that turns drums, should be done by Thursday. I also ordered new shoes they should be in by Thursday as well. Praying I have no more brake issues after this.

Thanks, I'm gonna look into it today if I have some time. It's a project car that wasn't drivable when I got it. I've been picking away at it little by little and once I get the brakes right I'll finally be able to get it inspected. Regarding the pulsing you mentioned, I have not noticed it but I have only driven it a very short distance and the wheel wants to lock up un

Thanks for all the replies. I live in a small town in Eastern PA, the one guy who actually had a brake lathe said it broke and he never bothered to have it repaired because he didn't use it enough to warrant the cost of repair. The garage I use told me that nowadays people just buy new brakes rather than having old ones turned. Pep Boys didn't cross my mind because, to put it nicely

Thanks, I did look there, but just realized I misread their checkout. It looked like a pair of drums would be $208 before shipping and shipping was around $40 but I now realize that shipping was already included in the $208. Still a little high but not as bad as I thought.

Hello, Hoping someone on here could give me some helpful advice. I've been trying to get my car road legal, all I have left is the brakes. I've replaced nearly everything except the drums and shoes. Everything is factory except that I upgraded to a dual master cylinder. I am pretty sure one of the front drums is warped because the wheel locks up under light braking, as an experiment
