so i took a look at a spot ware the sound deadening card board was not as well attached and it looked ok no rust or hardly any... so i think i will let it be. I will get the floor pans from clarks... likely. i guess thrifty is the word haha. I m going to be doing a side job to help cover some cost on the wagon. A friend blew up a ring gear/pinion in his backhoe, so i will fix it and funnel eve

Has anybody on here used floor pans from eBay? I like the ones reproduced by clarks however shipping is a consideration. From Massachusetts to washington I think like 20 or 30 bucks. I guess I'm cheap.

The area of the rear grill ware the exhaust would come through between the grill and the body, I think there is a spot welded insert there. I had not thought too much about this ... But I had thought of removing that insert and any rust and using a 60 or 61 rear grill and making a block off plate for the removal of the body. Since I do not have a wagon grill.but this will be on the Later list. Th

I was thinking it would be good to remove to be sure there was no corrosion hidding behind it. However it is not falling down. If I removed it I would use dyna mat probably. But if you don't think I should worry about corrosion, then I will probably leave it be. Kobe56 1961 Lakewood wagon 102 hp Pg

so this is my 1961 wagon i got back in 2014 from a person in 9 mile falls WA. I have actively been working on it. It was a"barn find" which i learned is not necessarily a good thing mice pee was everywhere and seeds and insulation. from seats everywhere. i gutted the interior and put in a seat from a 2000 base model s-10 pickup. i removed the turkey roaster pan and used a old hacksaw blade to cle

Sounds like cutting the seal and getting the glass out is the only way to go If the seals are brittle and cracked. Be sides I will be painting the car so I need to take the glass out anyway I guess... Might as well do it right Kelly 1961 corvair lakewood 102 pg

so i was replacing the front and rear seal on the transfercase. I drained the oil out. then i tried to take the filler plug out. Both the drain plug and filler plug have a 1/4 in square drive in them. the drain plug came out ok the fiiller plug did not. the square drive turned into a circle. it is in an area ware you cant get a drill or extractor in straight. so i guess i get to pull a transfer
