Dennis, Thanks for the info. This is just sitting on my bench collecting dust. I hate to just give it away or throw it in the trash. Any ideas on who might be interested in it? TIA Jim

I have noticed on this thread that there was a rear LM power antenna as an RPO U75. My '65 Monza convertible came from the PO with a power antenna which I have since removed. It has AL3 2896870 28 0979? USA stamped on the housing. I have the power antenna unit, under dash mounting bracket for the switch, and the switch for sale but I don't know what they are worth. the "clips"

I got a stimulus check. Fortunately I am retired and didn't need it. Parked it in a savings account 'cause the govt. is going to want that money back some day! I understand that there are a lot of people that really, really need that money to survive, but don't be fooled, Sam will want that money back in the future. There ain't no free lunch!

For sale used '65 Monza vert rocker trim. Straight, no dings, deep scratches, or dents. Need to be painted, or stripped and polished as PO had painted these with some kind of aluminum looking paint. Includes new mounting rails and screws as I didn't need them. Actually better quality (thicker metal) than the repops I bought from Clarks. $30.00 for the pair plus the ride. PM me with your

I just read that Miss. or Ala. has reopened their beaches. Talk about the power of tourism DOLLARS. I still say we are going to see another spike in coronavirus rates. There is still a large contingiency of people in this country who are either ignorant of the danger, or just don't care. Just as soon as some state announces there has been a decrease in Covid 19 cases, people will run out of

Social distancing means JUST THAT! I have seen FB posts about fishing clubs that practice "social distancing" by going out in separate boats which is commendable but then all posing for a group picture with their arms around each other! I have also seen posts where they brought presents to grandma and the grandkids brought the presents up to the porch and then grandma poses for a pictur

The trouble with this virus is that you don't show symptoms for about 4 or 5 days after contamination, but you are contagious during that time and can pass it to other people. What really worries me is all the "spring breakers" packed in like sardines on the beaches and think they will not contract the virus because they are young, or just don't care. Even after the curve flat

I never have believed that those two tiny snorkels on the 140 air cleaners could pass enough air when all 4 carbs were wide open. I know, I know that the GM engineers figured out all that mathematically, but it just didn't look right to me. I bought this air cleaner at Advance a/p for about $80 and had an adapter plate made out of heavy gauge aluminum. it even has CHEVROLET and the bowtie on

deltadave, Welcome to the CCF. The Knoxville Area Corvair Club is having a "Meet and Greet" at the Cumberland Mountain State Park on Mar 20& 21. Several of the Music City group are also attending. We had such a great turnout last year, we decided to have another this year. It is a lot of fun, good food, good fellowship, and a "poker run". Call Cumberland Mountain State P

Can anyone identify this power antenna for me? Removed from my '65 Monza vert. I replaced it with a stationary longer antenna that was more conducive to FM reception for the radio I had installed. Is it factory or aftermarket? These are the numbers found on the unit: motor housing: Al (3 or 5) 2896870 28-097(3 or 5) USA

Yes, I have done the dragon about 4 or 5 times. If you are ever up there, about 3-4 miles past Deals Gap at the upper terminus of the dragon in North Carolina, there is a great place to eat called Tapoco Lodge. I highly recommend driving the extra 3+ miles to eat and maybe have a brew or two to reward yourself for "surviving the dragon"! I have done the dragon in my 4 speed and a powerg

A few weeks ago I posted that I needed a transmission for my '65 Monza 4 speed. Within 24 hours there came a flood of offers from people all over the country for assistance. Well, I found a transmission in Kentucky, which wasn't a long drive from Knoxville, and at the right price. I have since made the trip to Lexington, and delivered the transmission to my mechanic. My reason for this

Could it be just a load of bad gas? I had a similar problem that I fought for several months, replaced the entire ignition system. A friend suggested to drop a bottle of seafoam in the tank and it cured my problem in 5 miles of driving, I now carry a bottle of seafoam at all times.

For sale '65 Monza rocker panel trim. No dents or dings, straight. The only problem is the PO painted them with either aluminum or grey paint. I have no idea why! I have neither the inclination nor the time to strip and polish them so I bought new from Clark's. Also included are the new mounting strips and screws as I did not use them. these are definitely of stronger, thicker material

Question: On that '65 Sacramento C/L car, what are the "holes" in the top of the primary crossover and what are they for? I have never seen anything like that before.
