I believe a person should ALWAYS be learning something. This is one of the fun aspects of life AND the Corvair! In that light, here is an interesting YouTube video of artist Shawna Peterson, Neon artist in Oakland CA showing a little of what it is to do neon. This might shed some light on cost and the ability to reproduce a sign in volume. As I stated in an earlier post, each copy of the sign

Greetings all - here is a status update on this sign First, thanks to everyone who has expressed interest. I have 28 commitments - well more than enough to move forward with the sign. We have definitely established that there is interest for the sign! Second, I started this project with the objective of producing a visually correct, quality sign of reasonable cost for MYSELF then thought ot

Yes - In a private company manufacturing location owned by the USA manufacturer - NEONETICS. As I have stated, I purchased a sign from an online vendor - WAYFAIR - to anonymously buy a sign and sample the quality. I have been VERY transparent about the process and shown you all every step of the way, including the unboxing. The quality of the sign is EXCELLENT. See the pictures. Image of

UPDATE:I have been in discussion with the manufacturer this week and things have progressed well. As I posted, I purchased one of their signs from an online vendor to gauge the quality of the product and I will say it is excellent. Without further adieu: - This US neon manufacturing company has been in business for many years - Dad was a glass bender and son has been operating it for the last

The sign we are doing is METAL & NEON. Similar in design to this one........ And no, simply reducing the size of the sign doesn't make it less expensive.

This sign was $326.99 (+ FREE shipping) from Wayfair. To be clear this is an example of the quality of sign from the manufacturer/vendor that will be producing the CORVAIR BY CHEVROLET sign. So far, I have 22 pre-orders!

I would like to show you the quality of the sign we are talking about... For sample purpose (and I wanted one!) I ordered a sign from this manufacturer through an online outlet in order to gauge the quality of the sign AND the method in which it ships. FWIW the shipping and crating is VERY ESSENTIAL to recieving a neon sign in undamaged condition! See attached images in this post and the n

I spoke to the manufacturer this afternoon. The $300 price point is definitely doable (PLUS shipping which, with crating, will run around $80-100 typically). The quality of these will be excellent and is from an industry-leader in the neon business. More information soon. Please let me know if you are interested. I am building this initial run on a lot of 20 but think that will sell fast so

Reviving/updating an old thread here... We are building a new home and I am outfitting the shop like I have wanted! I am in the process of obtaining a quote from a licensed Chevrolet neon sign manufacturer for production of the CORVAIR BY CHEVROLET sign in the original dimensions and style, I am gauging interest for production of a quantity order. The shop (USA) is one that produces many o

A great day! Read a random thread on CC, made contact with the seller, went for a 4spd trans, got a VERY NICE trans and diff, AND made a nice CAR GUY friend who owns several Corvettes! He sold his 64 Impala (409) and 64 Monza Convertible and has had a C8 Corvette on order and is waiting - like many, for his # to come up... It's a 64-65 trans 3833192 and a Late 64 diff 3856267! Best
