Car is sold, a lot of those cars on CL have been there for more than 1 year. My car was in quite good condition given the age and had majority new parts, I sold it for that price as at the end of the day it is a project car, and regardless of how much money is put into it, you never get that back. I wanted the car spot in my garage for another car and would rather have the space.

clean title as a 1963 but is a 64 underneath. I bought a 64 coupe but the body was no good after i drove it home(rusty floors etc) so i took ALL the parts from that and put it on this 63 convertible body. ALL parts were cleaned and painted prior to being installed on the 63 using ALL new bolts, washers, mounts, brake lines, wheel cylinders, gas tank, suspension, shocks, carpet, rear wiring har

there are plenty of valuable parts on and inside the car including the car itself. I am hoping someone can take it and it can help save another corvair like it did to my '63. I am open to any/all offers, this needs to be gone within the next 2 weeks as I am moving and I cannot take it with me. thanks

hello I have a 1964 club coupe parts car for sale plus extra EM parts. located about 20 miles east of Seattle. I have attached pics to look at here pics - body is solid and I believe has original paint, will need new front floor pans. - suspension components are from a 1963 convertible. - engine is a 102 HP from a 63 and is attached to a PG, the engine turns over but unknown condi

do you have a preference over whether you want a convertible or a coupe? I would take what is the easiest to finish and go with that. I recently picked up a running/driving '64 monza coupe that had original paint and was supposed to be all good to go, but after taking out the carpet i saw that the front pans are gone, they looked ok from underneath when i looked but a small tap on it caused

thanks for all the replies. I dropped the center tunnel pan and looked inside and found the PO did a questionable job with the backup switch connector, half of the connector is missing so he just plugged the wires in and used tape. I believe this to be the issue as I moved the car with the pan off and the light did not flash any more. I will pull one off my parts car to fix it and will let

howdy, I picked up a 65 monza last week and it has been running very good, starts first time and idles/drives fine. Every time i press the clutch pedal the temp-press will flash, this happens in any gear/neutral, I do not notice any difference in engine rpm/speed. When I first got the car, one of the connectors was not plugged in (the one connected to the DBL wire) so I changed the temp

Dave, Clarks have new HB's made. I will take photos and measurements tomorrow and update this thread. thanks Chris

After swapping between the old and new HB, it appears that the new HB is sitting too close to the engine and a thicker washer should solve the problem. The new seal that sits behind the HB is all scratched up. So, based on the above: - what is the distance between the Hb and engine block? - what is the best way to tighten it to 70 lbs once it is at the correct distance? - has anybody

ok, I took the HB off completely and put it back on again and tightened it down by hand (3/4 socket and breaker bar used) Just before the bolt get's hand tight, the HB moves about 50 degrees and then stops, I can still tighten the bolt(with force), but the HB no longer moves, the same goes for when I loosen the bolt. The car is in neutral and the hand brake if off. It seems to clear the

Thanks Dave, I will try that a bit later on today. Did the bolt length change between 63 and 64 when it was changed to a HB from a solid pulley?

I followed Daves video (not blaming Dave here) and used a impact gun to remove the bolt, then I used a puller tool to pull the old one off. A new seal was put on and then I attached the new HB, making sure to line up the key way, I used the impact gun to push it on (only enough to make sure i could tighten it by hand), I put the car in gear and pulled the hand brake. torqued to 70 lbs. Is i

hello, I installed a new HB from Clarks on my '64 110 PG, I followed Davemotorheads video (thanks for the video Dave) and now the engine wont turn. Before the install, the engine would turn by hand and now it wont budge at all in either direction. I haven't tried to start the car yet (starter issues). The car is in neutral with the hand-brake off. Have I done something wrong or am

Hi all, I am in the market for a 68 or 69 corvair and I am looking for information about those last 2 years of production. I have looked for a while and cant find much info regarding trim tags, were they different from earlier years? most info only goes up to the 67 model year. Did all of the 68/69's come with the smog pump or was that a option based on location or specific engine type
