my apologizes I actually meant phosphate not chromatic in original post, I must have been thinking about plating when typing chromatic. sorry for confusion. I am guessing Marine Clean and Metal Clean are synonymous. POR15 (and similar related urethane technologies) has its place in the market, just as epoxies, lacquers, and enamels do.

I have some books, one by Clymer Publications, Autobooks 947, the Tech manuals from CORSA, How to Keep your corvair alive, etc. The Clymer and Autobooks are good but somewhat generic in nature. Hi all: I recently had a nicer 69 front crossmember de-rusted and direct to immersion e-coat and baked that I had laying around along with some other parts. Photos attached show the results.
