So today I went in and ran the car for nearly an hour, after 30 minutes I shut it off and it started right back up, so I waited another 15 minutes, shut it off and it started right back up, I waited another 15 with the same results. I then drove it for a few blocks and the only issue I encounter was a slight faint glow from the gen/fan light. The car never stalled but I did pull the coil wire an

The coil was getting hot so I replaced it and still had a problem, then I found out that I was supposed to have resistor wire going to the coil so I did that which not the coil has 9 volts when you put a tester on it, then it w

1964 convertible, 2 carbs, not turbo, the car runs great when it is cold, after it warms up, it runs rough and if you shut it off, it will not starter until it cools down. The coil was almost too hot to touch so I had it checked and replaced it. I still had the same problem. A few people suggested I install a ballast resistor to the coil so I did that. I’m still getting 12 volt to the coil so the

I have a 64 convertible, I have both the 61 & 64 shop manual, trying to figure out how to install the throttle valve lever and shaft, it is item #30 on page 6E14 in the 1961 shop manual, it’s like they skipped over that item because the items before that and after that are in there. Can someone tell me how it should be install? Thank you

The other issue is when I was removing the engine I had broken off the accelerator lever on the drivers side of the transmission. I was able to get a replacement and thought I had installe

I have a 64 convertible, on the rear crossmember there is a bushing with a bolt on each side for the transmission bracket, the one bushing spins, does this mean it is broken, I have the drive train out of the vehicle, how hard is it to change this bushing, it looks like the crossmember has to come out because I can get to the bolts near the body of the car, thank you,
