Hello, I’m reinstalling fc doors for general paint prep and having a heck of time getting the front doors to align properly. Is there a magic method and/or mounting bolt sequence that I can reference? Voices of experience greatly appreciated. Thx Rod Pittsburgh

Hello Corvair enthusiasts, I’m e-raffling one of my Corvair hubcap clocks w/ all net proceeds benefiting the Corvair Preservation Foundation. Not a scam - this is a CPF approved raffle. I make these at home and usually sell for $30. Pics available here Tickets are just $1 each, buy as many as you like - it’s for a good cause. Process is EZ. Send your ticket purchase amount via PayPa

Group, A couple of very nice LM Corvairs for sale here in da burgh...both refurbished/restored 110 PGs w low miles. local posts on Craiglist haven't percolated much interest so they are now being posted on the Corvair forums....Note these are not snowbelt rustbuckets, these are nice vehicles...and both owners are good guys and motivated to make a fair deal. Let's get some good Corvairs into

Hello group, Here's a followup to my 12/18/15 query re LED replacement bulbs for my CORSA dash. I competed the changeover yesterday, and was asked by a few folks to share the results. Brief illumination background...my goal was simply brighter gauges and this project provided a modest education about candle-power and lumen conversions. LED bulbs are measured in lumens so we'll go w

Great input melb-mike. Yes, I would appreciate seeing pics of the LED lamps you chose, and possibly the bulb spec/brand info...I've been looking mostly on superbrightleds.com, and had dialed in to the BA9s 4 LED bulb for the 1445 replacements, and BA9s 5SMD LED for the 1895/1816 guage replacements. I saw one note that referenced a depth issue with the corsa tach with the 5-LED bulb. did you ha

For those that have replaced the stock LM dash bulbs w the BA9S 4 LED bulbs, can u share whether u used the 32 or 90-degree illumination angle (or a combination)?....I'm inclined to think 32-degree narrow beam would be good for the turn signals, bright lights, and idiot lights, then 90-degree for the gauge displays. Thoughts? Rod Pittsburgh

Same here. no doubt parting the small stuff is going to be his last option behind a) selling the entire lot to one buyer, and b) selling complete vehicles along w anything else that buyer wants...

Like so many others, I see parts I'd like, but don't need or have space for a complete vehicle. Where's the local Corvair club to step in w a parts-salvaging swat team? There's parts worth rescuing and money to be made for the chapter coffers...what a fun club outing!

See pix...does anyone know what this paper-thin stuff is for inside the 64 fc heater box? Is it inside all CORVAIR heater boxes? Its not so much paper as it is like a thin rubber or vinyl-esque material. Is it a liner that has just come unglued over 50 years? Is it sme kind of hanging filtration? I don't want to cut it out before I know what it is... Ideas welcome. Thx! Rod Pittsburgh F

I guess I should also mention that the fresh paint is a long-awaited step in what began as a poor mans restoration effort in 2009 in my SoCal garage to fix a few rust spots and a patina exterior. Fast forward to this past weekend in Pittsburgh and following multiple paint and body bids exceeding $10k that had left the van sitting stripped and in limbo since moving here, a friend w p&b experience

I love a good mystery. Van is my 64 greenbrier dlx w pg. vin #4R126 S 110189. The front information plate at drivers left knee/foot offers trim pkg 5Z60KB and paint 5510AA. Tho I don't know original motor, Engine reference is 78hp @ 3600 rpm and 90 hp @ 4000 rpm. I bought it from a used lot in Oceanside in 2008. Already had a swapped motor w a ZK block. The aftermarket or possible factory-antici
