I ran into this car again today at Damascus Motors...the owner was with it and his name is Estes. Nice guy. He had a '62 that needed transmission work, so he sold that and got this '66 140/PG 'vert. Originally Madeira over Fawn.

My nine year old son and I were there. We were at a Ford show in Taneytown, MD when I remembered the open house at the Ranch. Only about 20 miles away, so we cruised over (in my SPG, not the Corsa) and parked in the non-Corvair parking. We quickly perused the beautiful cars everyone had brought, but William had one thing on his mind...the yard. It was his very first time inside an auto salvage

Cruised to Frederick and back to Damascus with my son (9). Put about 60 miles on it...no radio, just listened to the engine

I have always liked '70-'72 GM A-bodi

Ha, he sat behind the wheel today for sure. Had him help me test the brake lights before our cruise. 1962 is my favorite year for Cadillac. I would love to have a '62 Eldorado convertible one day.

LOL, not quite...he's only nine years old! When he inherits this one someday, he will be a fourth generation Corvair owner in my family.

Yes, took it to a local cruise-in this morning and ole' Blue was definitely happy to be among the Novas and Corvettes. I had forgotten how much fun it is to drive, even with the 3.08 gears and worn out clutch.

I also put a new 140 emblem on the deck lid in late 2010 and by 2011 all the color was gone. The taillights are the GM licensed reproductions but that doesn't mean they are any good. They'd be great if they never got wet, I guess.

I put a set of new GM reproduction (with "Guide") taillights and trim rings on my '66 back in 2010. The small chrome rings on the lights and the larger outer rings started rusting the next year and right now a couple of them look terrible. Is this typical of these repro parts? Are these just for show? My car gets wet sometimes.

I came home as a newborn in a '65 Monza, but I've always loved wagons. My dad bought a new '71 Torino Squire for the many family trips we would soon make (the tailgate was already rusted through by the time my sis came along in '75). Midnight blue, fake wood on the sides, roof rack, 302. When my brother came along in '78, the Torino became a new Volvo 245 wagon. Solid bu
