I like #2 except I would go with charcoal colored spokes.

If I were to change the rims on my LM I would go 15 inch. The reason is a wider selection of tires.

Bob belt wrote; "roller rockers are heavier than stock rockers" I assume by your statement that this is disadvantage? Please explain.

Has anyone tried the roller rockers that Clark's sells? They claim designed specifically for Corvairs.

Makes one wonder. Would terminology been different if James Stewart hadn't taken credit for John Wayne shooting Lee Marvin. Hmmmmm

Mark My mechanic won't be able to until next week. From the conversations with the two mechanics I'm not overly concerned about it not working. I will keep you updated.

Al can you post a picture of your 66 rod and will try and compare it to the one I have? If its different I will try and post a picture of mine. I have tried to post pictures without luck. But I will try again if needed.

Received my accelerator rod today. I have spoken to two well respected Corvair mechanics and four vendors about rods for 65 & 66 models. Only one vendor and one mechanic said there is a difference between the two model years. They could not explain the difference. In in my opinion the difference must be so small it doesn't matter, or its just part numbers. Until we get a side by side

I hope Lee can get the picture posted as well because I'm getting mixed messages. A couple of venders say there is only one late model turbo rod and the Clarks catalog gives two part numbers CU559 and CU561. I should have the one I ordered by Friday. It is returnable if not correct but then I will be back on the hunt.

To DoctorZ Unless your looking for a free one CORVAIR RANCH has them. $40.00 seams a little pricey but if you want the correct part you have to pay whatever the market will bear.

If the ranch has the two Jeff is looking for he can post a picture.

I have been told there is no difference between 65 and 66 rods. Just early and lates.

I have been told that there are four types of accelerator rods. Early and late turbos along with early and standard. For those of you that have a bunch of these you should be able to figure out the one needed by process of elimination. Maybe I will have to buy one of each?

Unfortunately I know there is a difference between the early and late turbos but don't know what that is. The one on the car right now had to be reshaped to work but is not working the best. Hopefully someone will chime in to explain. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Thanks

I'm not sure of the difference. Mine is a 1965 with a 1966 Saginaw 4 Speed transmission.

Do to time restraints to attend NW Econorun I went ahead and ordered a rebuilt carb from CA Corvairs. Should be here next Wednesday or Thursday. How much money is a used YH carb worth? Thanks

Kevin Maybe another set of eyes could shed some light on this problem. Is there a chance of you coming off the Island and meeting Greg at my house? I would gladly pay for the ferry and fuel to get you here!

I don't think its electrical (Maybe Greg will chime in on that) What electrical problems could it be? What's the difference between flooding and stalling. As I come to a stop it will die unless I keep pumping the throttle.

Hey All, Attendance to the NW Econorun and Hintons Corvair Reunion car shows is in jeopardy. Greg King and myself have been trying to get my "YH" carburetor to idle for several weeks now without luck. Have tried accelerator pump, lower fuel pressure, idle mixture and idle speed screws with no success. Can we get a few people with YH experience to meet at my garage to solve this problem?

My 65 Corsa came from factory with Glacier Gray (different now). Would the cove had been painted Argent Silver? How much of a contrast would that be?
