I'm supposed to fly to Mexico with my girlfriend on Thursday, and for the second time I called the airline, and they refused to refund me my money. They only offer to exchange my tickets further on in the season. Which is much more expensive. The airline clerk insisted that the airports are safe, which obviously they aren't. But I've gone over this before, but I did call them back

I saw so many contradictions in my daily life today. The dollar stores are open and the girl at the cash was one foot away from me but I had a mask on, an N95. And then I went to the electrical supply, and they were delivering your order to the door, and telling you to stand away when they dumped it outside. I'm went to another electrical supply, and the guy said he was rotating his staff,

On a positive note, my girlfriend reports that she's feeling much better this morning, and she's off to the wholesale produce Supply Company, just in case she didn't pick anything up over multiple trips last week

Actually, since I returned from my social interactions, I've been wearing an N95 mask, and keeping my distance from EVERYBODY, by SEPARATING myself when I can, and the mask, and unfortunately I had to go to deal with a flooded basement, and I didn't encounter any one without my N95 mask on I'm also supposed to fly to Mexico on Thursday from JFK. I called the airline to c

Tonight my girlfriend says her chest is feeling weird, and she has a headache. And her son works in an extremely busy grocery store in Southern (Rockland County-Money) New York, in an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. And his wife is probably pregnant. I just left there, I was there for 10 days, I attended synagogue, went to the wholesale supply, and did things everybody does every day. I've

Corvair guys are cheap... I know one guy with a beautiful Greenbrier that he claims is original paint, he has the money and interest to buy expensive parts, except that his truck isn't original paint as he claims. So maybe he's lost interest in the truck, I think it's the only FC that he has

I went to Walmart three times yesterday, I grabbed a little extra toilet paper for my business, and I had to make three trips through the cash. The irony is, I had to hide it, because the guys at work like to take an extra roll home because they're too busy buying cigarettes and coffee, and never have toilet paper in their own house. Second thought, there was not one single Walmart or Sa

A gentleman from Kentucky just called me, he has Northstar powered transverse mounted V8 Corvair. He asked if I would make some videos, but I explained to him that my videos have fallen behind due to my lack of technical expertise. Everybody nowadays is using multiple GoPro cameras, suction cupped to various points of the vehicle. I'd love to do this, but I'm in the dark. Is there someo

Yes yes YES flat_six!!! GM did a good job with exhaust tips. Witness the chrome extension seen on many late 60's early 70's Chevelles and Camaros. The chrome tip that's 1/4" larger than it's tailpipe, with that nasty set screw, makes me think of someone with their pant zipper down, or shoelaces untied

I'm pretty sure the one I disconnected had 3 10gauge wires. I haven't been to the rental (basement) in months. Last time was to install an upflush powered toilet $1000. No problems with that one-for now

I had a 90(?) Amp tankless at a rental, it was mediocre at heating up water. IMO, it should have had a couple gallon reservoir to deliver hot water at full flow. I disconnected it and installed an 80 gallon heater.

The unit will be in Wednesday. It was the only small unit the small plumbing chain had. I'll post more info after I pick it up. There are $500 ones on CL, but $250 cheaper? Sounds too good to be true, must be cheapy won-ton

I'm renovating a small apartment, and no room for a standard floor mount electric water heater. So I was thinking of installing a wall mount propane on demand water heater. They claim to be ventless-no chimney required. This is a very small (325sq ft) well insulated apt. There are a variety of sellers online. The below link are made in China. Any feedback?

I haven't rebuilt a steering box box in 30 years. I do distinctly recall getting a brass bushing adapter to put in a grease fitting and keeping it topped up with an oily grease. Who cares that it leaks past the seal, it just rust proofs the undercarriage which is important around here!

I have a friend who's an electronics whiz. He's also a used car dealer who specializes in BMW and Mercedes and the like. I may be stretching, but I'd say he's one of the best in the Northeast US and Canada. I regularly go to the car auction with him, and Mercedes and BMW's roll through there regularly, from 5 years old to 25 years old, and he occasionally buys them and th
