I am reassembling my Corsa shifter and I have a quick shift kit I will be using. My question is, do you still use the seals and shims as you would without the quick shift kit?
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 6 days ago diegocorsa Made some more progress today....got my front suspension almost done.

What's the difference? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 days ago diegocorsa Cool, Starr is a friend of mine, I built my 140 in his shop. I'll give him a call!
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 days ago diegocorsa Hey All,
I just got home from a FREE Corvair parts score! Called the guy and he said "just come get them, I want them out of my garage"! Got a pair of OFFY valve covers, 3 chrome pushrod tubes, 3 full fin jugs(one has aluminum fins), 1 STD forged TRW piston, lots of viton o-rings and misc. seals, front cover, 1 unknown cam, a dipstick, several rocker studs, several pushrods, and a new set Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 days ago diegocorsa Hey All,
Bought a kit from HF, worked like a charm! Great kit!
10 Piece Bearing Race and Seal Driver Set
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 days ago diegocorsa Hey All,
Got my front hubs back today from the machine shop after having them turned down to fit my disc brake rotors. Anyway, now I need to install my new bearing races as I removed the old ones, any trick to doing this without the GM special tools??
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 17 days ago diegocorsa I use 3M aerosol adhesive remover, works great. Don't use it in a closed area or you'll get higher than a kite! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 17 days ago diegocorsa NICE!!! What size rubber are your running on the rear?? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 28 days ago diegocorsa 66vairman Wrote:

Dave,
Haven't fired it recently but did on a stand when I built it with Starr Cooke, runs great.
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 28 days ago diegocorsa Hey All,
Made some big progress today on the '66 Corsa..
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 29 days ago diegocorsa Hey All,
So i have the next 2 days off work and am planning on starting the reassembly of my '66 Corsa rear suspension, engine/trans install, etc.. What I need though is the torque specs for the suspension bolts, are they listed somewhere or??
Thanks! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 4 weeks ago diegocorsa Yes! I've bought all kinds of stuff from them in the past, in fact I just placed an order tonight for my disc brake conversion. Good company.
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 4 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
So, I stripped my '66 Corsa some time ago and have been gradually refinishing/rebuilding the front and rear suspensions, all wiring, all brake lines and much much more. Anyway, I removed all the wiring, brake lines, fuel line, e-brake cable and clutch cable from the tunnel sometime ago and now I've went to install all the new stuff and can't remember how it all goes! I know it's Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
SO I took my front hubs apart and noticed when I was cleaning them in my parts washer that the backs are different? I this normal or?? If so, does one belong on a certain side?
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 weeks ago diegocorsa I plan on starting the reassembly real soon, hopefully starting as early as tomorrow on the rear suspension/engine/tans install. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
So I am ready to install my engine and I have a good rear stock engine mount but is there any other options like a urethane one? I know Clark's sells a solid one but I am looking for another option like urethane or nylon, ideas?
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
Got the front suspension out, apart, sandblasted, and painted... Forum: Corvair Center Forum 7 weeks ago diegocorsa I am building a street legal racecar. The reason I am debating it is because I need a new tank either way, just thought a fuel cell would be safer and then I can close off the factory fuel door for a cleaner look. No, I bought a large lot of tools several years ago and it came in it. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 7 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
So I am debating on using a fuel cell in the trunk instead of the factory tank setup, thoughts? Anyone here running a fuel cell?
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 7 weeks ago diegocorsa Hey All,
I was looking for my pickle fork and found this in the bottom of my tool box. Says GEDORE on it. Not sure what it is, ideas?
Thanks, Forum: Corvair Center Forum 7 weeks ago diegocorsa What is the weight difference between the aluminum and cast? Forum: Corvair Center Forum | ||||||||||||||||||
