Thanks Tom! One more question, down inside the door is a bracket that looks like there should be a rubber bumper to keep the window from rattling when down. Mine are missing and I can't find anything in the Clarks catalog in reference to it. So my question is should there be a bumper and if so any thoughts on a replacement? Thx

Agreed, the regulator did need cleaning and some fresh lube. The little plastic wheels are what I am wondering about. Mine are held solid and do not turn. I would think they should turn. Thx

I have started looking into why the windows are stiff going up and down in the Lakewood and have pulled one door all apart to see what's going on. Are the small plastic/nylon wheels supposed to freely turn or do they just slide in the tracks? Thx

PM Sent, Thanks Layton Curtis Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have had the early and late sitting side by side for years. I think they are interchangeable. The late has 6 raised cogs for better back drainage. They are the same otherwise. The early has only one machined drainage passage just like you show. I will sell you the early for $20 + shippin

I believe the part number is 3780998 if that helps. I have tried all the main parts sources and nobody has one.

FOUND Working on the differential for the Lakewood today and discovered the stator shaft, item #19 in the Clarks Catalog, is worn pretty bad. Does anyone have one they could part with or know the GM part number for this? Thanks

Can anyone confirm if there is a difference between the right and left sun visors? I only have one and it looks like it could go on either side and I have noticed that the only ones listed on the auction site are for the right side. Thx

Sounds like it is correct so going back in the car, it does only go on one way EASILY but will go anyway with a little more push. Thanks for everyones input.

Its internal to the coupler the shaft is fine, the splines are full length of the coupler but just on half of the internal circumference. Sure looks like the way it came from the factory. I will try to get a picture of it.

Behind the steering wheel on our Lakewood is the bearing and horn contact. It looks like there should be a spring seat and ours appears to be missing. Is this an important piece? If so does anyone have one they could sell me? Thx

I just went through the steering box on our 61 Lakewood and noticed that the coupler that goes between the box and the shaft only has splines on half of the interior. Does anyone know if this is correct or is this coupler wrong? Thx

Could anyone out there in Corvair land provide a nice clear picture of a factory mounted radio antenna on a 65 Corsa? The diagram that came with the antenna I bought from Clarks puts it in what I think is not the correct location. Thanks for any help you can provide before I punch a hole in the wrong spot.

I am really interested in vintage vacuum tube electronics, I have just over three hundred radios, TV's and audio amplifiers from the 20' on up to the 60'. Most all of them I have restored to as new working condition. I also like collecting the old tubes as well, at one point I was up new 30,000 but have down sized and am down to about 10,000. I also like things that fly and have

Looking to buy a NOS or very good used engine cover prop rod for our Lakewood. I believe the part number to be 6284254 but not positive of that. Also does anyone know if there was any kind of a bushing where the rod rides in the slot on the body. Thx

I am working on the dash of my Lakewood right now and my ignition switch has the acc terminal as well and everything on this car sure does appear original. Maybe it has been changed but a spare dash I have has the same switch. Seems odd that three different dashes all have the same switch.
