I bought those for our wagon and they might work OK but they are no where near close to the originals, much smaller.

Tom, I am about to do this same task on our 61 Lakewood and I have the Clarks weather strip which is nothing like what was on the car. If you don't mind could you post a picture of yours once you have installed it? Also, on the engine, heater and two rear side covers where you going to paint them the original colour and if so what colour is that? I took one of the panels to a local paint

Use that if your missing the little cable clamp. If you have the clamp just pry that one off the cable. I just installed one in my Lakewood and that's what I did as my clamps were there.

I have them on my 65 both front and rear. They fit perfectly and after three years now they still look good as new.

I figure that because the whole world is all about "The Money" this has to be super serious as sitting at home not working contributes nothing to The Money. And if you sign up for any of the handouts the powers that be are offering that just subtracts from The Money. There must be something to this so my wife and I are doing the right thing and staying home and looking forward to spr

I use this one for car radio repairs and it has been very reliable and easily powers any vintage car radio I have worked on.

I fly R/C airplanes and High Power model rockets, check out some you tube videos on those if you not sure. They are very exciting to watch. I collect and restore anything vacuum tube related, radio's, TV's, and amplifiers. I have way to many of these. And for sure I love all three of my Corvairs.

One of my cars was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the battery. According to the local old battery supply guy here, he said with a bad cell in the battery the charging system is trying to compensate for that and thus charges way harder than it needs to. A new battery fixed the issue with my car. If you have a spare battery might be worth a try.

I had a good look at our Lakewood and without any question a previous owner hacked it into the glovebox door. And just to be sure it doesn't go anywhere he welded it to the door. Anyone have a spare door for a 61 Lakewood they could part with?

Our Canadian built 61 Lakewood has a clock in the glove box door. I have not looked at it that closely yet but I did ASSUME it was added by a previous owner. I will look closer.

Hey Dan, our Lakewood is a 700 Canadian built. Serial number 157 out of 547 built in 61.

Hi: We are in the process of restoring our 61 Lakewood and I was hoping anyone out there with a Lakewood could post some pictures of your bench seats. Ours were redone at sometime with the wrong materials and I would like to get an idea of what they should look like. Thanks
