I agree with Matt. I had a starter nose break a couple times and it was a loose flywheel? I don't think there is any other cause for this other than a loose flywheel

My 66 140 automatic has a block from a 68 or 69 110 manual transmission.It does have the 140 heads.

Try contacting the North Texas Corvair Association.I think they are near Denton.Denton is but 3 hours away from you. They may have members that are closer to you.At least it's a starting point

A Convert A Ball is a good choice. They will work just fine.Also you can get a receiver that has 3 different balls. Hope this helps.

My dad had the same problem. He lived about a quarter of a mile from his job. Four times a day he drove this.He solved the problem by replacing the exhaust system every year.

You correct an orphan car is by a manufacture that is out of business. But lately an orphan has been to include a model that a car company has dropped from its line.I think this maybe to get more involvement.

Over the last 18 months I've searched for how many cars were made like mine and haven't found an answer. I hope someone can help. My car is a 66 Monza 2 door,140, auto, with A/C. Color is sandalwood tan with light fawn interior. I found a number for A/C cars but no more. In advance thanks for you help.
