Stan,
SW Missouri Forum: Corvair Center Forum 10 months ago schuls1 Yes,....I remember that place too well!!
I drove thru Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona with NO issues. When I hit that station on the California border, issues started. I had to surrender to them my few snack oranges and apples before they would let me enter and continue on, when I went to the GWFBT last October. Imagine that!....haha
Stan,

Re: '69's At many of the local car shows, many people think my 68, 140 equipped, A.I.R. smog pump is the A/C compressor and the car has A/C....I then explain to them it is the mandatory smog pump and no A/C was available from the factory on the 68 Corvairs. I usually then hear a, hummmm, from them!...LOL.
Stan,
SW Missouri Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago schuls1 I wouldn't even think of using that!
It would be best to find a box with better internals. Just my opinion.
Stan,
SW Missouri Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago schuls1 Looking for an above OEM LM date coded 7Jxx or 7Kxx alternator, working or non working. PM me if you have one to sell.

Have drove Corvairs since 1970. Have always owned one of several Corvairs since 1975.
Stan,
SW Missouri Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 years ago schuls1 I can add one more to Lee's total, mentioned above. No stamped ampersand seen on a 68 140 crank.
