Just found out from a friend of the Owner that the Pininfarina Corvair did sell for $300,000… Wow!… that must be a record price for a Corvair marque. Do not know who the new owner is or if it will stay in the USA. Eric Napa, CA

Hi Mark, Agree with your comments, I have a couple of promos too and paid between $100 to $300 for them only because I wanted one to match my Corvair. Please post a picture of your “rare” die cast would love to see it. One plastic model I have that I have not seen to many of is the Astro 1 (Aka Corvair SuperGT). Eric Napa, CA

Well I think I struck gold…I checked my small toy collection and found one of these Jet Wheel Corvair’s just like the one sold on eBay. I think I acquired it probably 20 years ago when I collected some Corvair die-cast. Very cool! Eric Napa, CA

Thanks Dan for your response and posted pictures. Very cool! I’m not a toy collector but have bought many Corvair Diecast and models over the years, once your hooked on the Vair hobby It seems buying some toys goes with it! When I saw this listing I thought it was a Hot Wheel but little did I know, I will have to check to see if I have one of these cars from Hong Kong. I bet the seller was

Saw this toy Corvair sell on eBay for $787! Was wondering why so valuable? Any Corvair toy experts out there…it looks like a vintage Hot Wheel but made in Hong Kong. Must be very rare to bring that kind of money. Eric Napa, CA

I also got the Hagerty notice a month ago, increased value to $35k. The reality is I could not duplicate the car for that amount…restoring any car today to a high level is an expensive endeavor. Check out the Bring a Trailer sold graph link below…it appears more vairs are selling past the $25k mark. Eric Napa CA

I'm glad to see some Stinger owners chime in on this thread to give their opinion's on the car. I guess in time the car will tell its story, which it is doing now. After doing some cleaning we have discovered that the headlight bezels were painted blue as well as the bottom rear fenders and the bottom front valance. I will post more pics later today. Here are a few more pictures. I enjoyed seeing the extra two gauges in the middle dash and understand that was an option offered by Yenko. The fiberglass seat is actually very comfortable, I was surprised. Getting in and out was entertaining. The engine picture shows the original white velocity stacks, the top of the carbs are painted blue, never saw that before...but must be orginal fro

I was fortunate to be with Bruce when he took delivery of the Stinger. I could not believe how original it looked, it was definitely a time capsule from over 40 years ago. The body is straight with no rust through, the paint looks like it can be preserved with some patina. a true barn find car...Yenko Stinger ! It has some very interesting features, especially the front air scoop for the oi

Well it turns out this is a real Stinger that has been lost for decades...a good friend of mine who loves Corvairs ended up buying the car. Yes the Yenko ID tag is present (I saw it myself) and the data plate and VIN are correct too, the new owner will unveil his find to everyone soon. Sorry I cant mention the details but he will. I wonder how many more are out there to be found???...probab

Appreciate the demo, thank you! I like the idea of a new platform that allows easier posting of pics & vids not to mention the support for maintenance and security. I hope CORSA board, etc seriously considers this idea. Eric Napa, CA

Nice to see Audrain Museum highlight the Corvair, Donald Osborne is a fan and has owned a Vair in the past. If you haven’t watched the Audrain videos, they are fun and informative. Eric Napa, CA

Hello, I have decided to restore my 66’ Corsa Coupe and need your help, the car is in the body shop and we discovered previous rust/damage that was badly repaired so I’m looking for the following sheet metal: 1). Right front fender panel (passenger side)- would love to find NOS but would consider excellent used. 2). Left rear fender panel (drivers side) - again would love to find NOS.

Saw these items on ebay last night, not mine. They must be rare, I especially like the Tech manual. The Communique signed by Don, very cool. I wonder if Don gave these out when he marketed/sold the Stinger? Eric Napa, CA

My good friend was high bidder, the 69 is headed to Napa CA. This will be his second 69 that he has owned with 13 miles. Can’t wait to see it in person.
