But if its makeing noise while going in a straight line, such that there is no difference in wheel speed from left to right, posi is not involved. However, if one you are dealing with two different tires sizes, the there would be an issue an

I recently acquired an roof rack for my wagon, but its needs rechrome. The set screws on the stands ONLY held the stands in position on the rails. the rails seem to be pinned through the rails at four points (same area that the posts would sit). Trying to figure out how to take it apart to get the stands off the rails and the rails apart to get all the pieces chromed. I'm hesitant to

Door jambs low, rocker panels, rear valance, front valance, right front fender, the fiberglass mesh, there are signs of body rot in all these areas. As already mentioned, the thick paint, missing emblems and trim all signs of body issues in my book. There are things that are "Wrong" to be concourse show car, but not necessarily all that bad. Door panel pockets I thought were a 65 Cor

To the best of my understanding, the 69 Brochures were only in the Dealer Book that was distributed to dealer. There were no other brochures.

also, the control arm brackets for the bars (and the clamp for the bar) are different 62/63 vs 64. The arms are of course different EM vs LM.

@ Junnkman..... The difference is most likely the holes punched in the skin for the out window fuzzy/window wipes. They are not in the same positions as the coupe doors. I Know this as we had done the wipes on a 63 convertible where the holes would not line up with the pins on the wipe. Took a minute to figure out was going on, but after a closer inspection it was discovered that the door w

The recent post of a board member selling off his 4speed car due to health issues that affected the ability to use the clutch made me wonder if anyone has ever successfully been able to adapt the VW autostick to a Corvair? Or if anyone has ever attempted to duplicate an "auto stick" system for a Corvair (or any other manual shift car) For those that are not aware of the AutoS

Curious as to how that PB System works? The the pressure to the wheels amplified through the servo on the power booster? Is that signaled from pressure from the stock 61 MC? To the best of my unerstanding, on a conventional set up, when the pedal is depressed, it breaks a seal on the booster that allows atmospheric pressure to push the diaphram and attached rod into the MC with more force.
