Power tpp frames are indeed different from manual top frames Adding power parts to a manual top frame makes it work funny. It will go up a.d down but the first few inches comming iff tge header need a hand and when comming back down to the header it needs to be pulled. Else it will fold in on itself i the oposite direction it needs to go.

Like Craig said. Grab the threads sticking out the bottom of the speed nut with a pair of needle nose vise grips and twist. Should come up enough for you to grab the head after that.

The bar that goes across the brake shoes? Can only be installed one way.. One slot is wider that other and hence the wider slot goes on the side with the park brake arm and the shoe that the arm attaches to. It is also ofset to one side such that it will clear the axle bearing. Also one side (i believe the side with the narrower slot) has rests for the flatened spring tp rest on the bar.

Trying to determine the difference between the three years of Spyder dash harnesses. What physical differences are there between each of these? I have new haness that i am trying to ID that no longer has a lable on it. The fuse block has a PN: 2955178 but i have not been able to locate it. Is i wiring color change or is there a pin put change to the other attaching harnesses? Could i

Curious..... where is the belt slipping? At the crank or at the Alternator? What amperage alternator are you running? Much over 69 amps and it will over take the friction of pulley vs the belt.

I have bought a few here and there that were in boxes over the years. Compare them to a known old OE? All I know is that tge vast majority of aftermarket are not correct. Repos vary from junk to incorrect shape and contact points at the valve stem and rocker stud slot jagged or poorly finished. Id use good used originals, but this is for a friend with near factory stock car who is a fan o

67 same as 64-66 less the 3 prong spinner. May alao be the same in 68. However 69's have a brushed center cone.

The pivot pin on the park brake actuator arm is taller (and thinner if i recall correctly) on the 60-61. Using 189s on the rear of a 60-61 with the stock arm it will flop around. Dont know how it will affect the function of the park brake.

What is the cindition of the perimeter seal? Are all the spark plug boots snapped into the fan shroud? Is the summer winter plate in place? Are the rear flapper doors opening? Not jammed shut? Timming too retarded or too advanced? Fan belt slipping? All these things will cause the motor to run hot. And leaks that allow heated air to recirculate back through tge fan will cause the moto
