I did not say that ALL Corvairs have low mileage because they have lower values, I just said that it is not as uncommon. There's other contributing factors to low mileage Corvairs, like the idiosyncrasies involved with Corvair maintenance in comparison to conventional cars. I've owned many of these cars. I did not mean to imply that this car absolutely had 12000 miles, the point wa

Hey guys, I know that guy! Thanks for watching my videos. I've been a forum member for many years. Also, a sort of frequent guest on my YouTube Channel is Kyle Pernokes, who is on this forum as Brocklanders. There's quite a few Vair videos on my channel at this point. I'm also LS Swapping a 1981 Malibu, which is my first car that I've owned for 20+ years. Also

Do you have the correct pivot ball stud? Late and early have different lengths and when switching to a late style clutch you have to change the pivot ball. The fork is the same from 60-69 as far as I know. I have had a problem with an incorrect throw out bearing height. If switching to a late clutch, you need the late throw out bearing as well. Cut and polish is possible, but the car has t

John - Do you need to split everything to swap the rod? Can you not just pop off the inspection cover, and the dust plug and very carefully remove the pin with needle nose pliers and a magnet? I need to come see you soon.

Hey folks, just thought I would share my latest Corvair related video. You guys in the dry south will cringe and cry at what us Canadian folks repair. This is a customer car, and he loves the car. Repair is well under way now, driver's side is completed. I just realised when I updated my sig line, I've been on this forum 10 years! Thanks to everyone that keeps it goin

Hey folks, It means a lot that my Corvair people are digging what I'm doing. I'm new to YouTube, but I'm having fun. I'm working on cars and living the old car deal anyway, might as well share. Especially given the current times and lots of people are at home. Mel - Thanks for noticing. I'm trying to make things smooth and what I would want to see. I also don

Hey folks. I started a YouTube channel a little while ago. Lots of old car content and as I'm pretty involved in the Corvair community, there's a fair bit of Corvair content. I'm a no drama, positive outlook kind of guy that loves old cars. Hopefully you guys will enjoy some of the content. This video is just hanging out with Dave Binnie, stratovair here on CC. Lo

That's our blue Rampy, along with Lloyd Williams 69 in the bottom of Matt's pics. We arrived safe and sound. 11 hours of driving over 2 days. No issues mechanically at all. The parking lot is filling up at the host hotel, we were welcomed at registration and picked up our goodies. Our room didn't work out so well, We elected for something clean and cool down the street at

Glad to hear it went well. In future if anyone in Ontario is looking to get something from the US, many of our club members use CBI as Mel mentioned. Often one of us is making a stop there and we go as a group in a truck to Niagara. For those of you wondering what CBI is, check out their website that I've linked below. I'll be stopping in there on the way home from the conven

I have seen this car in person several times during it's progression. It was a very clean and solid original paint car to start and an excellent example of what an Oshawa built Turbo coupe is supposed to look like. For those of you who don't know Dave; Dave's body work is second to none. He has completed Concours winning body and paint jobs on Corvairs. He pretty muc

I spoke with the owner on facebook messenger today. This is what he said; "Hi thanks for your concern, yes we survived...just, I was driving round a bend when a guy travelling to fast and on our side hit the rear end of our car and caused us to spin out of control into another car. I got away with broken leg, hand, and ribs with a few cuts etc but my fiancée was much worse, she needed
