I am hunting a full set of LM springs (cut or uncut) if you wish to trade...
Mike Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 years ago mrtrimmier Hey Corvair people. We're cleaning out the shop and I'd rather give my '65 Corsa parts car away than scrap it. Rusty 110 w 4 speed installed, comes with a disassembled 110 that had the machine work done (to the best of my knowledge, case halves and heads have been bead blasted etc) Included are the door panels and all replacement windows for the side glass, comes with rear glass, n Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier the old school bubble balancers were the bomb for PP indexing.... Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier I had one do that. Problem was the wire going to the points had almost worn through at the terminal on the points end. Ran fine till the vac advance tried to pull it apart... Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier btw, you can use some cardboard strips for your valve adjustment, couple inches wide slid under the rockers. 1 piece for each side... Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier you can get big brake drums from diesel or concrete truck service yards. I got 2 for $20 bucks a couple years ago for a boot mooring. Personally I'd mount a beer keg on it!

MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier keep an eye on ebay. I paid $400 for a "perfect" set of 4 and then $75 bucks for 2 more "perfect" ones the next week.

Mike Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier I bought one of those and a Penske vacuum gauge off of ebay. Haven't used them yet, but they do look cool in the manshed! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier At the very least the sum of the parts is worth their asking price, especially with the 140 engine. I'd buy that sucker and start hunting a body shell w/title!!!
MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier I have found it useful to right click on Clark's links and then select "open in new tab" when price checking, that way you dont' lose your original page.

MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier A tree fell on the RatVair. He's going to need a new R/R fender and a decked. My fault for not moving him over the years....
MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier That is a very popular swap. Search "toronado" and see what's what!
MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier Nice docking station. Where is the rest of the articulated limo?
MT Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 years ago mrtrimmier Also, don't forget your cables might be jacked between the control levers back to the heater valve. Very long cable prone to corrosion. Levers are pretty easy to snap! Look under the control assy and see if the lever is still moving the cable. You should be able to put the key in "run" without starting the engine and hear the blower motor running out back.
