If you are using a stock Corvair fuel tee[ the one that is attached to the tube out of fuel pump, The tube end is NPT and the outlets of Tee are reverse flare .

I always balance the clutch assy together and even check the 50+ year old input shaft for straightness. Do not enjoy doing clutch jobs twice! [ and of course new pilot bushing, TO bearing, input seal and washer,new bolts and washers including flywheel washer] Also replace the crank seal if wet back there.

Yea, How could you possibly know it is a sheared key with out pulling the engine and bell housing? Pulling the oil pan can show a munched gear but not a sheared key!

Bob, Porterfield R4 compound shoes do not glaze over. Match the arc to the drums. Porterfield can do that too. My car: bored 15/16 front wheel cylinders Aluminum finned drums all 4 vented front backing plates Those shoes braided brake hoses dual master cyl adj proportioning valve on rear brake line braking at end of straight #2 from about 120 at Lime Rock

Another thing to think about is the transaxle when adding horsepower and torque. At the least, a 4-spider carrier should be in the picture and the '66-9 trans, as it is stronger.

I think a powertrain change should be in modified class. Ours is the Spirit of the car! What else can Charlie do to His Car? Besides is built to the limit Verticle fan, fiberglass body panels, webers , trick suspensions,etc Just my Opinion

Street Modified and CP are among the top $$$ to have a competitive car. And our 108" wheelbase is very hard to beat a 500+ HP 100" wheelbase car. Just go for fun!

What are you using for spark control? -Tom Tom, Actually, if you notice...the springs are not holding down the air filter top yet along with the vacuum to the dist! This pic was taken about 1/2 too soon!
