Forum: Corvair Center Forum 21 days ago solo2r Your bolting those bearing units to the stock early trailing arm? How are you going to adjust camber and toe? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 2 months ago solo2r I would gladly send you a good points plate if you want! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 months ago solo2r Here is my other hobby! Just recently saw this pic of my Favorite Drummer {R.I.P.} How cool is this? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 months ago solo2r I just recently installed a front Scarebird set up on a buggy, It had 15 wheels
I think it will fit 14" but certainly not 13" ! Big difference in braking! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 5 months ago solo2r Folks, I have been collecting these for years as spares for my '67 and 68 cars.
have at least 6 sets to sell. Most are powdercoated and some have the snap rings, nuts, washers and 1 or 2 have the shaft end support, but those are the same for '65-9.
$200 ea set plus the ride from SoCal Forum: Corvair Center Forum 6 months ago solo2r I say call them out. I just called out someone on FB on some "Original" Chevy Ralley wheels. The ones pictured had 10 lug holes which are aftermarket. The Guy said He listed them for a Friend and revised the add. In the end, the buyer should be knowledgeable about what he is buying. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 7 months ago solo2r My newly acquired original California black plated 1966 Barracuda has VAP as its first 3 letters Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 months ago solo2r I just ran into an issue with a 'rebuilt' converter recently. Could not get it to go in, like yours. I found that the gears inside were not moving around using a pair of snap ring pliers. The internal gears must move around a bit to self align with the splines as the converter is slid in. Another converter and job got done. Better to have this happen on the ground than to have to pull p Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 months ago solo2r I have been using the spray copper coat on these gaskets with great results Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago solo2r Prop valve goes to rear brakes! Go autocross and you will find out real quick! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago solo2r Here is one for You Guys! I already have 2 but in the box is pretty rare! {not mine} Forum: Corvair Center Forum 10 months ago solo2r I have had a blue and gold one out of package and they are very hard to find! I have spent way too much on some of my Corvair collection but just had to have it!
I have never seen one in the package until now! Late model stuff is rare. I think the best is yet to come in the Jay Leno Stinger! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 10 months ago solo2r The fittings do not use the threads to seal! It is a flare problem, check the lines carefully. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 10 months ago solo2r I had steel inserts installed on all of the Minilites I have had to be able to use regular accorn type lug nuts. On my first set, i did have a set of stainless lug nuts made. I dont trust the aluminum ones and are hard to find! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 10 months ago solo2r The ground strap is a common issue with dash lighting problems Forum: Corvair Center Forum 11 months ago solo2r At least 4" BS Mine are 14 x 7 with 205-60-14. A little hard to find! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 11 months ago solo2r There are different styles of Minilte wheels! I think the Original " Sport" version is the best looking IMHO! Forum: Corvair Center Forum 11 months ago solo2r 28. Re: Lifters I started a brand new engine 2 weeks ago. It was new 35 years ago! Before starting, and turning over by hand, I Put on adjusting valve covers and adjusted valves one cylinder at a time. Then I prelubed oil system with a modified distributor. Before all this I re-freshed the pair of NOS carburetors and changed the fuel tank and sender , installed an electric fuel pump.
