Some very good lists, but I have one thing to add that I think is very important - a roster of Corsa members so you can call for help if all else fails.

Mine is an early, and has plastic rather than glass. For the first time, I put my top down last summer with the window left in place (zipped). Have not had the top up yet to see if it is okay or not. Not too worried about it because I plan on putting in a mustang glass which folds, if and when I have to replace it.

Nice car and congtrats. Gotta say tho you should consider yourself extremely lucky to drive that far in a "new to you" vair, in that kinda weather without any trouble whatsoever. Hopefully a sign of more good times to come.

Got my 62 EFI started up for first time since about November. Back when we first installed the EFI, Ted Brown had us to stuff a couple pieces of rubber fuel hose down in the base of the TBI's to help get the idle squared away. After talking to Ted one day he said I should remove the hoses so I did. However, now the car idles at I guess around 3500 so I've got some work to do to get th

Here's one I use on my 59 Elky 348, got about 6 of them off of ebay a couple years ago. It's a Baldwin C-18-A which replaced AC PF-141.

If you could get that for around $4000. you would be good. Too much left to do for the price he is asking. I would keep looking.

You said you have electronic ignition - question is it Pertronix? And if so, is it Pertronix II? If so, and in case you might have missed it in reading the forum, several of us have had trouble with the Pert II causing idle problems. As Steve suggested, swap it back to points and see if there is an improvement, you can always go to a Pert I later on.

Orney's main problem is that he is about the most sarcastic person ever. How could anyone not be negative to him?

Absolutely fantastic Richard, and you got my favorite color too. Can't you put some Corvair parts on it and maybe tell everyone it is a corvair. Or maybe one of those Johnny Cash Cadillacs.

Good to hear about Mike on the forum. I saw him and some of his "stuff" at the swap meet in Chehalis couple years ago. My ex-mechanic, Del Gaither used to go see Mike quite often up until he (Del) quit and moved to California. Always had good things to say about Mike.

I'd have to guess it is some of the nonwelder's that say no to rust of that nature. And, I would have to guess your phone probably got eaten by some of the rust. Looks like a good project, get er done.

Way cool. I had a set of the 57 Turnpike Cruiser skirts on my 51 hardtop Ford Vickie, similar to "Kustom's". I sold the I swapped the Vickie to my brother-in-law for a 51 Cadillac de Ville and put the skirts on it. Beautiful. Sold the Caddie when I was drafted into the Army, never saw them or the cars again.

My wife got T-boned similar to the way you describe, the other driver admitted fault on the spot and this was in the police report. We have USAA insurance since 1968, the other driver had American Family. My ins company picked up the ball and ran with it all the way, our car was a 2005 Chrysler 300C with about 183,000 miles. Blue book was $6700. I never heard from other ins co., but mine sent

Looks like you need to know also that each carb has a ceramic type fuel filter right where the fuel line screws onto the carb, take that big nut thing off and you will see a filter, Clark's has new ones and this could be part of your problem.

I still have one of those that you remove a spark plug and screw the device into the plug hole. Brand new, never been used, bought it off Ebay several years ago for around $50 I think.
