I use Timberland Pro currently, but the STC (Shoe Technology Company) makes some good ones that I have found fit me very well with little break-in required. I tend to shy away from something like Craftsman or CAT as you are paying for a name and the boot is likely made by someone else and maybe not a good manufacturer. Good luck.

I found a flat of Delo 10W30 oil in 4 litre jugs from the early 90s, SL rated. I have a couple left and will use it once I finish with the breakin oil in my cars.

I have a very rough polyurea floor coating, but I use small squares of foam mat under each post so it doesn't move, not that it would.

X2 on Nate's comment. I had the same thing happen on a 110. I made it all the way from Nevada to Canada with it popping in and out occasionally, typically when I stopped for gas.

California Corvairs doesn't list a new '65 emblem. Is it something they haven't added to their catalog?

If you are in Ottawa, try Dave Binnie in Guelph. He should be able to point you in the right direction. I do not recall his screen name here, forced something I think. Tom Knoblach in Texas can do a great jobs on your heads and you can order complete cylinder assemblies with pistons, rods, etc from one of the vendors I am sure. All you would need is to get the crank done and assemble with a n

I had four wheels damaged by the plastic guide on the tire machine at the local Chevrolet dealer. There were deep scratches in all four wheels. I asked the service manager how that could happen, particularly when they said their new machine is designed not to damage the rim. They said they would have them refinished. I found out afterward that they spent $1300 to refinish the wheels, when a g

Money laundering. That sounds like every restoration ever. Nothing like paying $60K to make a car worth 30K.

I had to use late '66 ones on my '66 Corsa that is in restoration right now. You would think, given that '65 car production was about the same as '66 to '69, that the '65 ones would be easier to find, but I guess they changed over to the newer style and just made more of them. Good luck in your search, I htink Rich Thompson was looking for a set too.

LA build had no dimples at least up to February 1966. The exact date I think was discussed in another thread in the past 6 - 9 months.

Worse yet, old plug wire sets that had a little flap over the plug hole that didn't snap in at all. I actually gave a set of Clark's wires to someone using those about 30 years years ago to help protect their engine.

Yes, drainage notches added later, sort of like the headlight bezels for late models.

If you want to try another latch I have a few really nice used ones. You can have one for the price of shipping, but only if it works for you. If it doesn't work, keep it. I'll PM you.

If I could get across the border I would have been all over it too. It is exactly what I need. I have a complete car basically with no body. 140/4spd, seats, wood wheel, complete near new suspension front and rear all coming out of a car getting an LS1 and Corvette suspension. I just need a good body to hang everything on.

Yes, any dings will be pits at some time. I do hope Clark's repro is exact, with the correct curvature and everything.

My original is not bad, but could be show quality if polished and painted. If I recall it had some minor rock dings though. I have an NOS '65 version, but do not want to use it or part with it either. Hopefully I can find something.

We use alight table in the office, but as much as we used to. It has two 48" florescent lights on the bottom and translucent glass to help even out the light source. A lot of time now we scan and trace in autocad though.

I just checked the jack stands I won at the Toss last fall. Sure enough, they are one of the recalled ones from HF. Hopefully I can get them replaced when the border opens again. I already had a similar set, but that set has an extra safety bar and I use them on my one ton truck with no problem.
