Are you positive its gear lube and not engine oil? Do not use the viton crank seal, were the flywheel bolts installed with sealant so oil does not seep past them? is oil seeping past the crank gear to crank surface? Check the input shaft seal surface very carefully for nicks, make sure the shaft is not bent, make sure there is not a hairline crack in the diff snout, EM and LM seals are different

I have heard some bad stuff about them as well, So I kinda lean towards Kens comments, I know 2 people that bought engines from autobahn and both engines were delivered not as described on the ebay adds, also if you watch his adds he shows pictures of different engines in the same add, so who knows what you will get? Take this add for a PG for instance, he shows pics of different PG's and a coupl

The rear end I am rebuilding has rusty 64 Springs, the Springs in the wagon now are nice, I am going to put the stock Springs in the 64 rear suspension as per suggestions here from guys running this set up with the stock Springs, Thanks for the input and suggestions, If there is a problem after it's built I can always change the Springs. Have any of you goggled Nikasil cylinders? Lots of cars and Motorcycles have had problems with them, High Sulfur fuels destroy the coatings and they chip off, BMW was replacing complete engines with steel lined cylinders as a warranted item due to the problems with the Nikasil, I have had personal experiences with Nikasil cylinders in my Race bikes back in the 80's-90's when Honda thought it wou

Well you know these cars sell for lots of $$$$$$$ at auctions, so the rusty old parts must be worth a fortune! (:P) Every single used shift tube I have pulled off cars and are piled in my barn are in better shape than that rusted out POS "Supposed" NOS one! The Pressure plate is Kind of cool, I have NOS flywheels but have not seen a PP.

Well there might be a piece of dirt stuck in the needle / seat holding it open, I would pull the carbs apart and replace the inlet valves anyways, sitting for 2 years the gas in the carbs most likely gummed up and turned to varnish, I would rebuild the carbs.

Also, what electric fuel pump did you use? if more than 5 psi you have a problem.

A bad mechanical fuel pump will fill the crank case full of gas, A bad needle / seat in the carbs will let the carb fill the engine with gas, pull the dipstick and see if its way over full and smells like gas?

I have no clue what the rear suspension came out of, it's a manual 64 rear unit.

Scrape all the grease off, then clean it with a DE-greasing agent, once clean sandblast, prime and paint, Never blast greasy parts as the grease ruins the blast media.

Are you talking about this? I changed a 65 to 66 trans axle and had to trim the Threaded rod end as well so it would clear.

I would go .060 Forged pistons with Molly rings (Not Chrome) and Clarks full fin cylinders, Isky springs on the heads for less coil bind from the 280 cam, BUT if you are going to have Clark's install ARP rod bolts insist on the original ARP 12 sided nut, for some reason Clarks ARP rod bolts have another NON ARP Nut, this what just a big topic on the COG page and others chimed in saying the nut on

I think Cody responded to your recent post on FB and he says he has the fender lips and door bottoms already cut off for you, if so go with him, you are right, just the fender lips is a tough one as most people will not ruin a entire fender for just the lips, BUT I do have a few new cars I will check, the only time I end up with complete fender openings is when the car has been crashed or the low
