Matt, its right next to your PM inbox counts, it tells you inbox and out box numbers. Phil the problem is you can delete the messages and it will reduce the number, I have rolled over the odometer on this Boards PM count and my PM's Quit working (Matt Remembers), We had to have Royce reset my message box back to Zero and then Royce told me I need to delete messages so I do not over load the syste

I went in with no proof and spoke Spanish, they issued one for me right away and registered me to Vote, I asked about the picture not being me and they said no problem as this is a sanctuary state it does not matter as long as I am illegal.

I gave up years ago, Tim, if you click the Bow-tie "Corvairs" at the top menu it takes you to a members section, that I think is what he is talking about, I filled it out years ago and was never added to the members list, seems its a forgotten part of this website.

Dirt / water, the seals are not a traditional spring seal, they are a wiper seal, just a flap of rubber, I guess the extra grease in the cover/ shield is supposed to keep dirt / water out as much as keep the bearing grease in, What ever the reason, if you follow the manual you will have no problems.

The manual tells you to pack the outer covers with grease, it keeps water out of the bearings.

If the cylinders are filled with gas you can bend a rod from hydro lock if you try and turn the engine over, I would have checked the dip stick and pulled the plugs before trying to turn the engine over.

Years ago when I commuted 100 miles each way to work Jiffy forgot to put the oil cap back on, about 10 miles after leaving their shop started smelling burnt oil, pulled over and luckily the cap was embedded in the foam insulation under the hood from when they closed it, turned around pissed and went back to a Manager that told me I was full of it, Went to corporate after that, He no longer worked

There are various things than can cause a belt to flip off, all the pulleys need to be straight and clean in the groove, no rust, spin them with no belt and check? all the bearings must be good, the Alt pulley must be the correct one, they do get switched, sometimes a bearing will spin when cold but lock up once hot, that includes the alternator.
