Replaced the clutch cable that was parting with Roger Parent's cable and pulley. Took the opportunity to move the wire on the headlight switch so front parking lights stay on when headlights are on, cleaning some corrosion off the switch terminals while I was at it. Started it up after checking for gas leaks post jet change. 1 turn on the driver's side carb link and adjusted idle mixtur

my 65 had the 3 speed and it has been updated with the 66-69 4 speed. I had to extend the standard 3 speed wires to the new 4 speed switch in the 66 trans. Replaced standard lamps with high output LED lamps that fit regular reverse lamp sockets. They draw less current than the standard lamps and I had the switch fail from internal arcing with regular bulbs. No issues with new switch since replaci

I would suggest a replacement top cover with fan and bearing. That may be overkill but if the bearing is old and the balance is off I'd go that way if you can afford it. I'd consider it cheap insurance.

I used something I got at a pipe and hose place. Quite rigid and not a speck of wire in it anywhere. I am not a stocker purist though, so I'm fine with it not being stock though other's mileage may vary. It came in black. I also got a length of 3" hose to use as exhaust hose when running the car in my garage.

Put mine up on jackstands to assess the clutch cable. I recently adjusted the clutch free play and last weekend it seemed like it had gotten more free play again. Cable looked good at ball, I had already made sure there was no fraying happening there after reading about it. All the pivot points were tight, so I pulled the tunnel pan cover off and I can see that the cable is starting to come out o

Check the rubber balance tube hoses if you haven't for vacuum leaks.

American-Pi makes a cap and one can take a distributor and cut it down to just run the oil pump and cap it off.

It appears to be a Monza with the Corsa cove paint. You can see the Monza emblem.

Re-attached the clamp to the heater control end of the cable; epoxied it in place as this was the second time it has come loose. Gave it a couple days to fully cure and now I can turn on my heat again if needed.

TY for the input. I hear a small whistle under the dash that I thought was coming from the back at certain pedal/vacuum positions. I like the idea of protecting it inside a larger rubber hose.

I suspect a small leak in my vacuum hose near the front of the car. What is the sizing for this tube so I can buy a new batch to run from front to rear? I have a 65 in case the tube is different between early and late model cars...

I haven't done it yet, but I suspect I may have worn a small hole in my vacuum line near the gauge as I hear an odd whistle. Going to get a new roll if after I test it is does indeed have a leak.

Nice work. I made my own as I agree with you that it is vital. Glad you found some buyers.

I like my Pertronix one paired with a stock resistance value coil and a bypass wire to supply full voltage to the Pert in both "start" and "Run". I have had other issue to drive my crazier than I already have, but the Pertronix was not one of them.. full disclosure, I still carry a points plate in case I need it, but never have so far.

I strongly recommend modifying and installing a bracket. I have the conversion, and modified my bracket to fit.

It's amazing how nice just off-idle performance is when both idle circuits are functioning. One of them must have been plugged up for some time now, and I just thought it was the price to pay for my fat cam. Not so. Now that I have fixed the sticky fast idle cam that wouldn't allow the idle to drop (self inflicted) and re-synced the carbs, idle transition slot is now working in driver&#

Haven't had to do much but drive mine for a while, but the last trip I was going to make to pick up a torque wrench, once the chokes pulled off, it wouldn't idle. Off-Idle was fine.Today I discovered that it won't idle well on one completely blocked and one partially blocked idle siphon tube. Pulled the plugs and looked at them as well, just to make sure all looked well, and they d

Drove to a car show 200 mile round trip, no issues except the lack of A/C on the drive home. Got to park next to "Fett's Vette" and if you are a Star Wars fan, you know who that is. Oh, and yes, the costume was hot. Helped raise money for missing and endangered children at "Kyron's Car Show.

Turned out that I had reduced the gap on the fast idle tang part of the throttle rod in such a manner that it now rubbed against and quite handily removed the lower clip from the driver's side primary. Oops. Don't accelerate too well on one carb at idle... Easy fix though, and glad I verified no fuel leak before I dug into the passenger side primary again. Back to happy motoring.
