Rick, thank you for the clarification. Attached is the tag on my convertible if you'd like for your records.

Inclined to believe the (VN only) note as my OA car has no code and it's a 4-speed, which I believe is unmolested since built.

Hi Rick, not in any way trying to question your authority on this topic. I'm getting hung up on the '(VN only)' note next to the L code for '63. That would seem to be not correct if the L was also for WR.

Rick, Thank you for that info. The full ACC line on the WR car is: F 2C 3C I've used the Body tag information listed in the FAQ on this forum and, for 63 WR cars, the 2nd group L code is not documented. Your examples are for 64 cars. Is the 4-speed L code documented for 63s? Or are we saying it would be on the build sheet or window sticker for WR cars as well?

Followup questions: Both my Spyders have 4-speeds. Both are '63 model year Oakland build has X in ACC line WR build has 3C in ACC line But there's no ACC code for 4-speed? How would one know if it was originally a 3-speed standard or a 4-speed option?

I was the second owner of a '60 700 coupe. Original owner purchased the Monza covers from the dealer and I still have the set, see attached pic. The car itself ended up with Jeff of Cal Corvairs fame (he was fourth owner) which he then restored to full glory.

A quick look on google maps and that house on opposite corner is still there. So is the Tommy's, of course. The Corvair, doubtful.

Came across this online at . Picture of original Tommy's location in LA at Beverly/Rampart. Looks like '60 700 to me.. hubcaps and belt trim. Or perhaps it's a horn-slot 500?

LRV was not on Apollo 11. That's what gives it away as a staged photo...

I happened to watch that movie recently for the first time. What caught my eye is that it seems like a 4-door was used for some of the interior shots... anyone agree?

I suppose you could call it luck... but I think it's to a large degree about personality and attitude. People willing to get out, have adventures, be positive and meet people where ever they go... open to hearing different opinions, from different backgrounds and getting experience/knowledge...
