Joe Macmurchie of Van Island, BC did the conversion some years back. He was a skilled shop teacher at a community college and was able to fab a beautiful job of it. I only provided the ramp and hardware.

I have always just taken it on faith that the General had a reason for issuing LH and RH tail light assemblies. But now I am down to selecting the best examples from my stockpile of used units. All appear identical wiring and assembly. What is the difference? Can they indeed be used in either location? Curious in Portland.

Long ago someone published a list of likely problems with the related sound it made. Chunka-chunka, thump bang, etc. each sound related to a list of faults. A handy list that I now cannot find. A distant friend needs that list. Anyone recall?

YAY! BIG FRIENDLY HAMMERS RULE! There is a .02 interference fit so Removal of the powder coating from the ID will solve the problem. Thanks gang!

My quest is to just remove the LF wheel to apply some seam sealer to a wheel well panel left open at the factory. The wheel/tyre is in the way. I am certain the powder coating on the wheel is the problem and I can deal with that issue once I can get the wheel off. Perhaps a long two x four against the wheel from the opposite side?

The wheels are new powder coated on un-used restored hubs. Slipped right on yesterday but today they will not pop off. I have tried all the tricks in my bag to get them off: Wacking the tire on all sides including the rim with wood block and hammer Jacking Penetrant oil Pushing from behind I have never had such a stubborn wheel that was not rusted into place. Suggestions gladly accepted

Hi Greg: I traveled this path last year with no luck. Did find that stacking nylon washers worked nicely. Very durable and certainly affordable, easy to find. ‘Good luck to you. Bob

You just cannot beat real quality restorations like this. Steve's love for the hobby and his old world craftsmanship is legendary. Fitted with shoulder belts as well.

David: Yes. One additional spring to the inboard front gives nice support when the roads get twisty and the body wants to shift. We just completed this addition to my current 65 seats. I will send you a photo if you wish?

Missing are some reference to how to take apart the stock clock. Tugging and pulling is not well tolerated on such a delicate item. Would you please share the procedure? Clock was from a garage sale some years ago for $50

Anyone have experience with the the quartz clock replacement from Clarks? This is a ten year old kit from Instrument Services and is what appears to be a complete replacement for the inner workings of a Corsa Clock. The instructions are generic. Am I in over my head? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks Bob

Touch-n-seal brand spray foam sealant makes a Mouse Control edition to their line I found at Home Depot for $10. Sealed up every hole and crack in my shops with just a quick spirt. The insecticide foam will kill them when they try to gnaw through it. Worked great for me and no traps to empty. Best of luck.
