Packard cars had a wonderfully sucessful slogan: “Ask the man who drives one” Go the extra mile and ask an EV owner for their take on the future of the automobile. You too may have a smile in your future.

Hmmm. Oregon minimum is “at lesst 10%”. State law max was raised some time ago to 27% winter gas though all recognize they never go that high. Trying to find the facts through Oregon government is a “awe shucks and shuffle” process. I doubt even the legislature knows the truth at any given time.

Folding top pivot bushings (4) can be made from Wirsbo Pex 3/8” coupling with nylon washers each side. Turned down to fit. Wonderful Nadine at Clarks found a pair of used lift support caps for me.

My thanks to both of you. I did searches but only found those I posted several years ago on the same topic. Assured I had the correct rod at that time. Now when assembled with that correct rod....dunna fit. Hmmmm. Correct early bell crank. Correct turbo cross shaft. Correct turbo front engine tin. I suspect the rod of course. Am tempted to get out a BFH and provide the solution, but wa

Doing final assemble of the 65 turbo and the throttle rod to bell crank does not fit the arc. Confirmed the 66 rod looks a good deal straighter at the bell crank end than what I have. The rod I “thought” came with the car has a hard crook at the end. Would anyone have a photo they could ahare of the corect rod for the application? Thanks in advance

It would appear that even KYB shocks do not last for 25 years. What is the current thinking on the best shock and value for fitment to our FC's? Thanks in advance

My thanks again for sharing. It would appear that friend Ray does not have a true FC spotlamp. The base is clearly shaped for a certain body contour other than a FC door. With a bit of grinding the base could be made to fit nicely but neither Ray nor I would fit it to our trucks so the where is the point. Back up on the wall it goes to await.....

Friend Ray has a Unity brand remote spotlight hanging on his wall. This looks to be the unit for the FC installation but my memory fades. Would anyone have a photo of the Unity lamp on a truck? The angle seems about right. My thanks,

Vintage raced a dedicated racer for a dozen years. Found the 13” foam grip wheel coupled with the factory quick steering box w/ quick arms was perfect. On track at any speed over 40 mph it was light, quick and responsive to inputs. Photos available on request if you PM me a email address.

It does appear in your photo that the engine top cover has several temporary black bolts to hold it in place while awaiting the proper bolts. The other guess would be the attachment bilts for the front anti sway bar.

I do believe you are correct. Florida stikes a bell. Curt would have had the skills to do that type of work. Anyone have a link to photos of the hood hardware/type/specs? Thanks

Hood hardware was from either a Jaguar or BMW if memory serves. I cannot find pix of this install (had them at one time long, long ago). Any ideas would be appreciated.

The VW gasoline heater is compact, light weight, simple on-off operation, SS, and has it’s own mini fuel pump. The outlet to the cab is about 3” and can be plumbed directly into the stock floor/defroster vent locations or through a bulhead. If this sounds interesting send me a PM with email address. I have one of these dandy heaters and the complete VW install and operations guide. The
