Cleaning the attic of my garage and found an early oil bath air cleaner, with the flat tube that runs to the carbs. Would this be factory for a 61 MONZA with 98 hp and 4 speed? If I decide not to use it, is anyone interested?

I have the factory am radio in my 61 Monza. It works well for an am. It picks up the noise from my electric fuel pump. Any ideas?

It was an older filter. The seal seemed flexible. There was no old seal.

I took my 61 Monza out for a drive and a short distance from my house the oil/temp light came on. Checking, I found the oil filter gasket had blown out. Sure made a mess. It was an AC filter and had just been installed and driven some. I limped and coasted back and replaced the filter and 3 quarts of oil. I cleaned everything and took another drive with no problems. I have driven Corvairs a long

The oil pressure sender is the top one with the blue wire. An educated guess is the unit in the oil pan is an add on oil temp switch. That is not a stock Corvair , but rather an aftermarket add on. Bill Pierson

The trim does not fit into the weatherstrip like the fronts, but it does clip into the rubber before you install the back glass. I recently had a new one installed by an established glass installer and they did not install the molding the first time and had to take the glass out and do it over.

I have a 61Monza coupe. On the inside of the rear window, under the gasket, is there a piece of trim? The package tray does not cover that area like the later early Monza coupes. If any one can post a picture of that area , I would appreciate it. Bill Pierson

I have it installed. The front 2 mounts were ok. I fastened one rear mount to the body with a rubber bushing and metal screw. The wiring harness is also different. But it worked when finished. These motors are really universal.

I purchased a replacement top motor from Clarks. I have already called them. The new motor has 4 mounting hole, the old one has 3. If I mount 2 of the holes the other 2 are off the bracket. Has anyone used a Clarks replacement on a 64 convertible?

I have a "Racing Through Life" book about John Fitch. This is a 1993 Copyright, the first year it was published. It is in excellent condition with just a very small tear at the bottom of the dust cover. I see them listed from $65 to $200. I'm asking $80 shipped any where in the states. Bill Pierson
