1.5 hours sounds low, but if both fenders and doors are removed and windshield is out, there isn't too much left.

I have flat rate pages from the Mitchell Collision Estimator. If by cowl support you mean the lower windshield channel it is 1.5 hrs, but that is with the fender and door removed. (66-67 convertible). That includes r&r windshield adhesive. I'm sure your fenders and doors aren't removed, but it is a starting point. Even though the adhesive time is included, I don't read that as including the w

Warmed up and running in neutral, add 1 pint at a time until it is between the add 1 pint and full marks on the trans dipstick.

If the fuel lines are touching the engine, that is a problem worthy of vapor lock.

Insurance companies don't fix the cars or find the parts per se, they pay the money that fixes the cars and buys the parts.

The time I had troubles turning the key, it was the lock, not the switch. I was happy, with considerable patience, to get 1 more turn to the left to be able to depress the pin and pull it out.

Mine came off the road in the 80's for that. It was the front crossmember rusting out.

93 octane could be adding to the problem. It has a slower burn than lower octane. The lowest octane possible without pinging is the best.

Check the switch with an ohm meter. Not too hard other than climbing under the steering wheel.

One inspection ago, I had to show the inspector how to operate the high beams on the 68 firebird. I wondered why he spent so much time looking in his book.

No guarantee, but it's unlikely that would be checked. Lights, signals, horn, probably brakes. I'm 20 miles north of Stafford (which is almost different worlds around here), but I'd bet you could find a friendly station in that area.

I agree with Wade. The further from metro areas, I'd say, the laxer the inspection. I'm 10-12 miles from DC, but that being said, if it looks pretty good, they figure you don't drive it much and you're out in 10 minutes. I took my 68 firebird in October and he stated, this won't take long. Didn't pull any wheels or lift it up.

Replaced the heater blower motor with a high volume motor, connected the hose from the driver's side to the heater box and the hose through the fire wall to the heater box. Once I change the vacuum modulator, the passenger rear suspension starts going back.
