There was an NOS 62-63 rear grille on Ebay in 2010 that I was bidding on. I wanted to win the auction because the shipping label on the envelope was from a closed dealership that was less than 5 miles from where I live. The name of the dealer was Jack Dankel Chevrolet in Allentown pa. But the bidding got crazy and it sold for $1225.00, in 2010.

I knew this car looked familiar, and when I saw the PA classic plates on it that confirmed it. Jerry Lopez lived here in eastern PA and has a few really nice corvairs that he showed and this was one of them. He has sold his house and moved to the Carolinas years ago. All of his cars were nice, but this one was especially nice. Jerry and his wife were great people. Hope they are doing well.

I saw these today searching for stuff. Aren't these 65 hubcaps with different centers? Seems like a pretty good deal for someone if you change the emblems even with the couple of scratches pictured. [4MAAOSweD5cmCCL" rel="nofollow">www.ebay.com]

All the tires I was searching were radials, would not put bias ply on a Corvair.

Milestar makes a P175/80-13 which is good for early models. You can find them on amazon and some ebay stores. They are about $50 a piece. Also Coker has the maxxis P185/80-13, and Coker is also carrying a P195/70-13, slightly smaller, but they are a little pricey, around $175/piece

To resurrect an old thread, is there a trick to running the wires through the A- pillar on an EM? I have tried going down through the top, and I have tried to fish a piece of stiff wire from the bottom to find the hole where they go through and I have had no luck. Suggestions?

I had this company make me one when my body shop damaged my original one. The company will allow you to change color of car, color of interior, and options, but they will not let you change the model of the car. You can add or delete options to match your car. I left mine original to the car. The finished product was top notch.

I want to know if anybody has an all original 1963 coupe that has the original headliner in it? I am looking to see what the correct "dot" pattern is. My headliner was replaced in the 80's and I am not sure that it was replaced with the original style. It does not match the Clarks sample I received, it matches another pattern that is said to be original. I would like to see

I have had good luck with a California car cover, have had it for years. I just ordered a new flannel one so it doesn't scratch my new paint job. Both of my covers were indoor covers and fit well. You just have to make a hole for the antenna, and when you order the cover you can get a grommet for the hole you make so it doesn't tear and enlarge the hole. Hope this helps
