Purchased 64 monza spyder that was running so rich that all spark plugs were black and flume burn your eye. I rebuilt the carb it starts and runs pretty good but, gas comes out of the throat of carb. Does anyone have a answer to my problem?

Just purchased this 64 monza spyder. Notice that it smokes on start up. It has the turbo engine. It has electric choke. It starts great. I pulled the spark plugs all are completely black. The exhaust makes your eye water. Any ideas as to where to start diagnosing my problem .
