Hey I’d like to know too. I live in the same area, and someday I’d like to get some quality body work done with someone that knows corvairs, or appreciates classic car restoration.

Hey guys, any tips on removing a shift lever from the base/housing? I figure the retainer just needs to rotate so the tabs are free, but its not happening. Any special tools? I have a rechromed lever I want to switch out, and also maybe put a new nylon bushing and spring in there. Thank you

thanks for posting this, helped resolve some confusion. I upgraded my 67 heater control trim to a rechromed piece from California Corvairs, and it didn't have the holes for that detent spring. Right, detent spring maybe added after '65.

hey guys. So I went to autoZone today to replace my turn signal flasher because it became too slow. I bought the usa made expensive one, put it in, and was horrified by the soulless clicking sound. I quickly returned it for store credit. My old one sounded great, it had dimension to it, was very welcoming. This is a plastic "Tung-Sol 224". Is this the original brand/model for a 1967? Al

Hey guys, I'm looking for a certain LM convertible bolt & nylon piece. The bolt fits into the nylon sleeve, and then acts as a slider or guide so the manual top folds correctly when putting it down. I only have one set for one side, been wishing I had the other side for years! Thank you <IMG SRC="; border="0" alt="Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com"> &l

I do it all the time, I've thrown 2 road bikes in the backseat! but yes, you can easily beat up upholstery. I have a worn car cover that I cover the backseat with usually, that works pretty well. Careful placement. '67 Monza Vert

hey guys, I want to buy a washer pump. Clarks sells there's for $55. On ebay this ACI/MAXAIR is $28, Anco is $30, ACDelco is $48. They ALL look the same to me, are they different. This style is bad? Thanks!

Oh, there's the clip in the handle too, not to be confused with the big handle springs I'm talking about. Both spring and foam piece goes behind panel, right.

neat! I do need to do something for a water shield too. But I'm talking about for the door and window handles. You got the foam donut, spring, and then handle with plastic protector on outside of paneling. I guess most people don't bother with the springs? I ordered them from Clarks the other day and I'm trying to make it work.

haha. Do you use both? I can't get the handle on with both those things on the crank. And what order? Both under the door panel, of course. I've got a late model

Hey guys. I need some tires for my 67 conv, no white wall. I drive regularly, and take it out on LA freeways. I currently have 185 70 13. Should I stick with this size? The more original size is the 185 80 13, right, but these seem difficult to locate. Would those be worth getting for regular driving, or is that more of a Sunday driver thing?
