Once threaded ball joints have been used, pressed-in variety will fit rather loose. In other words, replacement lower control arms may be required. As I've mentioned before, how often is it necessary to rebuild a front end? Originals have lasted 50 to 60 years, will you be around another 40, maybe 50 years?

acardon, No electronic ignition, no fancy high dollar coil, just the original components that came with the truck, including switch and 57 bulb in dash. Everything is OEM. If you're referring to ignition resistor wire, that was by-passed due to excessive high resistance (corrosion). Instead, what took it's place is an external ballast resistor. Unless there's resistors wired

Have no problems using these: For late models: ....More: For early models: Currently using a Delco 10si alternator in Vairdeb's Rampside. No diode, no altered wiring (except at alternator), no resistors, just the correct bulb in dash. Seems to work okay. No charging issues or electrical feedback.

Yes, it will work ....as a temporary solution. Generator fan may require a spacer to eliminate the possibility of interfering with alternator housing. Belt alignment will be off approximately 1/8", not much to be concerned unless you plan on running engine at high rpm. As for cooling, this could be an important factor if you decide to use alternator to it's full capacity.

Aside of a right side '64 control arm, there's a perfect view of a '64 differential passenger car housing. Rear shocks appear to be KYBs.
