Paint code SPECIAL . Original paint looks like Air Force blue.Has both original rear bench seats. Interior has no dents or abuse from hauling materials so assume it only hauled people .
Does anyone have or know where I could get pictures of Corvair trucks or vans showing military service. I wo Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 months ago Denisschoen I will be looking for 64-65 FC 164 cu in engine block.
Spare tire holder assembly and jack holder for a Greenbrier. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 8 months ago Denisschoen I may have found a 3.89 locally but won't know until Sunday. Now I'm wondering if a 3.55 would be a better choice. I have one of those laying on the garage floor. Was only keeping it more original with the 3.89. Will only be hauling 2 lawn chairs and a ice chest with cold snacks.
Any opinions ?
thank you,
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago Denisschoen Looking for a 3.89 differential to be used with a 4 speed in a 62 Rampside . I am located in California.
thank you Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago Denisschoen Corvair Ranch has one and is shipping it to me.
thank you Forum: Corvair Center Forum 9 months ago Denisschoen Anyone know where I can find a splitter and the choke cables that run to the carbs on a 61 FC ? Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Jim, you're right . I dry fit the EM bellhousing without the gasket and the seal barely catches the end of the crankshaft seal surface. The flex plate also rubs the seal. Now I'm looking for a LM bellhousing.
thank you,
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Does anyone else see a reason I wouldn't put the EM PG bellhousing back on the LM 110hp engine the way it was when I got it ? I am using the EM FC diff/PG and don't have a LM PG bellhousing..
thank you,
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen I don't do " cars & coffee " but this thing sure draws attention when I go to the parts stores and lumber yards. It's much handier than my Silverado. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen There is a depression on both of my bellhousings so apparently someone before me has swapped the LM for an EM. That's why they looked so identical to me.
On another subject related to this same 67 110hp I noticed that the cam gear shows signs of uneven wear that I couldn't ignore. I was going through the local Corvair club's supply of shared parts and found a NOS cam gear and a 3 Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Is there any difference in EM and LM PG bell housings ?
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Ok it sounds like the washers behind the existing FC motor mount bracket is the way to go. Just to be sure then for the 67 110 mounting to the 61 PG/Diff I should use the 67 110 flex plate with 7 holes ?
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Thanks for the info and tips. I will use the 61 PG/Diff because I did see it move the Greenbrier off the trailer about 50 ft into the shop . The 67 power train has been sitting for +30 years. I am now looking for a 64 engine mount bracket. Should I keep the 61 torque converter with the 61 PG ? How about the flex plate and bell housing ? Are they interchangeable ?
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen I have a 61 Greenbrier with an 80hp PG power train. I acquired a 67 Monza parts car with a 110 hp PG . My plan is to install the 110 into the Greenbrier. What are my options in regard to the PG . The LM PG doesn't have oil cooler ports.Any tips for making this swap will be appreciated . Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen I found the parts I needed and made new friends along the way thanks to CCF.
thanks to all,
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Thanks Mel, I did get a response for the legs. I still need the anchor plates and any fasteners required.
I have never felt an earthquake yet where I live. It wasn't until I spent a night in Missouri a couple years ago that I experienced my first earthquake.
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen OK , I didn't realize this was going to be such an issue. How about calling it Southern Northern CA or Northern Central CA . Maybe my GPS co ordinates? Honestly I'll pay for shipping the rear seat anchor plates that I'm looking for from anywhere in the USA. Can we focus on the original intent of the post ?
Denis Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen Mel,
I think I'm on that red line that separates Northern CA from the Central Valley in the Sierra Nevada foothills on the Real CA map so I'll stick with my original signature location .
Now can you help me get the rear seat anchor plates that I need ?
Thanks for the much needed comedy that keeps us going. Forum: Corvair Center Forum 1 year ago Denisschoen I am looking for leg assemblies and anchor plates for rear seats .
