I was reading my repair manual and in the Spider section it stated they used a special cooling fan made of acetal resin plastic. The lighter weight fan reduces the fan and generator belt peak loads by up to 40 present. I see many adds here for after market fans. Has anyone reproduced the plastic spider fan ?

my 64 Monza coupe has finned steel drums on the rear and non on the front. I don't have any advice as to which end is proper. the car came that way when I bought it.

I haven't received any money yet but if and when I do I'm buying a new low profile floor jack and a new pistol, looking at a 22 magnum revolver. I carry a 380 auto but not fond it. Oh, my Corvair doesn't need a thing.

Chris nice plane, I assume it's electric. My last electric was an F86 Saber Jet

Being an AMA member I recall RC Jets are limited to 300mph at AMA events in the United States. One of my planes would reach around 200mph in a dive when checked with a police radar gun. RC planes are fast and deadly. If a four pound object hits a human torso at eleven miles per hour there is a seventy five percent chance of death and most RC planes weigh more than four pounds.

In many of my cars I've installed smaller steering wheels. It's an easy way to have a little quicker response without changing steering components. If you want to retain stock look that's another thing. It's possible to buy stock wheels of smaller dia. and also have your cut down. I have a 13.5 inch in my 64 Monza and I'm quite happy with it, bought a quality adapter hub

I've used this company's products before and wasn't happy with the sending units. I'm not fond of digital gauges because they are always flashing, just my opinion.

I guess I should drill hole in the drums if I ever need them, I do have one front brake that is tight.

I have a 64 Monza 110 and there aren't any slots in the drums or backing plates. All brakes have self adjusters.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have a problem posting photos because my camera has too many pixels even after I reduce them. I'm using a tablet so I will give it a try. Looks like the pics loaded. I got a hub from Seth and a new wheel. Bought some 14" wire wheels and cleaned them up and mounted New tires. Will put them on after winter

25. intro
Sorry my intro was a bit vague. I’m a seventy two year old retired gas compression development engineer. All my mechanical knowledge came from my father. I’ve been involved with high performance cars most of my life, Chevy’s, Fords, Hemi Chryslers, British cars and even VW’s. Several of my builds have been in magazines and on line. My last was a Corvette powered 53 MGTD with narrowed Corvair fron

Timothy I have no idea, that's why I asked the question. I have a roots type used on small diesel engines and plan to add an adjustable waste gate and start with 4lb boost. Supercharging and Corvair engines are both new to me. The unit will be set up like a Paxton and blow though the carbs take care, Dave

Frank I guess I did ask the wrong question. I was just interested in a ball park figure for this type of engine. Understand it's 9 to 1 compression and that was the reason for the concern. I don't plan to race the car, just have fun driving it.

I'm. Building a supercharged system and don't want to over boost my 64 110 hp engine. I'm using an adjustable waste gate so I can control the boost. Will be posting more info as the project goes.
