OT - Plumbing for this year is all done.. GRIN

For those following along.

I finished the plumbing today and tested the washer. It just finished doing its first load..

FYI - We purchased our farm property 8 years ago and I am finally doing our first load of laundry here.
There was no hurry to install a washer and dyer while we still had the main property; we could do our laundry there.
However, since June this year I had been doing our laundry at the local laundromat. Boy what a pain that is.

Anyways, for those of you who don't know.
I installed the 2 entire house water filters a couple of weeks ago. (picture #1)

While I was at it I also added in the new water supply shut-off valves for the hot and cold to the washer. (picture #2)

That way I could do the rest of the plumbing for the washer any time - without having to turn off and drain the water pipes to do so.
Today I finished the rest of the plumbing needed for the new washer. (picture #3)

Sold the Vairs.
I only have the Ultravans and my EV 60 Wagon.
Now UV248 & UV362 have Corvair power-plants. But they are not Vairs. ggg
UV256 & UV231 did have Corvair power-plants - but not any more. GRIN

If you are on well water, you might have to keep the door open on that washer to help dry out the mildew. We have to keep the door open on our top loader of recent vintage (you know, the ones without an agitator) to keep the smell at bay. This never happened with the non HFE old agitator style. Units operating on chlorinated city water do not have as much of an issue, I've been told.

For low water usage items like a washer.... use a Charcoal filter at the appliance..

Thanks Frank.

We always kept the door open on our washer at the other property and we will do the same here.
