just got back from local scrap yard where I dumped 980 pounds of Corvair parts. ALL the Corvair stuff is heading there if new owners are not found.

Mel,

I don't blame you. If there's no market or you only get abused by cheapskates then why continue to store them at your expense. The more Corvair parts that get scrapped means those remaining may go up in value.

Mel: I agree with getting rid of what you don't need. Too late in life to store for anyone. I am cleaning out my bins also. I take stuff to the meets a few times. If no buyers, then some pieces get shuffled off to the trash and recycle bins. So far I gained 4 empty bins since Helen. Probably another one or 2 when I go through the stuff I took to Maggie Valley.

The worst part I am here in the states and shipping is much easier.

Looks like those highly modified heads will be aluminum scrap shortly also. Though I will have to bang the seats out. That ought to be fun. Keeping the new valves for my cars though.

Keep cleaning, Mel. When something comes up that we discarded, then we can say "dang we had those, but no one wanted it when we offered them up."

Oh yes. I have a set of 6 buttons for the 68 also. With retainers. They took their first trip to a meet along with buttons for the 65 and 66. One more trip and I'll start glueing them on my toolbox. Might be an idea to use yours for the same thing.
