Wanted to Buy at the Fan Belt Toss
Posted by: john.jackson ()

Thought it would be a good idea to start a wanted to buy at the Fan Belt Toss thread.

To start it off:

I am looking for inside the car late model A/C items, Vents, switches, wiring harness, etc.

Also looking for LM non smog engine compartment tin.

Anyone bringing this?

Most likely if this is a heavy vendor year you will find all of that stuff, I am amazed at the things I drag home for the toss. smoking smiley

The only problem is location. Being in Florida doesn't help me much. I'm looking for an FC Steering column. I don't need the steering wheel but I do need everything else. I'm going to try to make an electric power steering unit by using the EPAS unit. If I can do it, I'll document the project and post it on this forum. Most FC's don't need power steering but when you have a Greenbrier and it's loaded with 9 people, steering effort is a bit much.

Why not use a modern replacement column such as 'Ididit'? Besides being all new, you get a great turn signal switch with a built in hazard switch as well! Many different steering wheels available and can probably modify a stock one to fit nice.

Amen to that, Solo2r, nothing like a tilt column to make knee clearance a non-issue. Clearance under a stock steering column is at a premium to begin, but even tighter w/ hand controls tucked under there, as well. I very much appreciate my Blazer's tilt column. I'm not in need of anything, but I do have a boat load of EM stuff I'd like to move on to a good home and will be at The Toss. A Complete front suspension rebuild collection that includes HD coil springs & adjustable shocks, ball joints upper/lower, full set of polyurethane A-arm bushings, set of 4 SS brake lines and a whole bunch of other little stuff. Ask.

Looking for late model, 2-door, drivers side stainless trim that goes from inside of A-pillar, along roof line, and down C-pillar. Not the drip edge, this is attached with small screws to body.

Mine has disappeared somewhere in my garage and I know the best way to find it is to buy a replacement.

I'll be at the swap meet Friday afternoon and then again Saturday morning until around twelve.

If you don't find one at the Toss I could probably sell you one then buy it back after you locate your part. smiling smiley

Stop by our booth and pick up some Halloween treats. We hope to be there by noon Friday.
